Yea ,could have been worse . Some places on the other side of the Hudson River got over 4+” . River is about 20 miles west of me . One person lost their life when they tried to drive through flood waters .

Yeah we had some knuckleheads close I-94, trying to do 70mph on ice, never ends well.

 

Those are some nice pictures your wife painted Ken. About the only thing my wife or I can paint is a wall.

Some of the rains and storms in the east are bringing challenges to you guys, stay safe.

For us we may not have any snow for Christmas, 40s the next couple days.
The ice fishermen have had a couple not so fun times around here, up on a Minnesota lake about 40 people had to be rescued when a large piece of shore ice broke free and driffed out. It also happened closer to here but only 2 were left stranded. They are warming everyone to stay off the ice due to warmer than normal temps. And if they do go out have life vests on.

 

You ought to see it when they completely shut it down, doesn’t happen very often, but it does happen.

 

First day of vacation, lying in bed drinking coffee, feels good. I think I'll burn some scrap wood today as the winds are going to pick up later in the week.

Yesterday was hard, today will be worse. We tried to get into two popular restaurants last night in Clarkston at 07:30 pm with a party of 8 and it was no go. Made a reservation for one of them on Thursday night and the only times available were 04:15, 04:30, and 08:00. Took the 04:30 slot. Once a Restaurant is featured on DDD it will stay busy if the restaurant was decent to begin with.

Good morning 60 plusers! Had a nice trip down to Florida the other week with my oldest son to visit my daughter and her family. Were there 3 days and had a blast though it rained almost the whole time!
Even grilled out in the rain. Did some site seeing when the rains stopped for a couple of hours and took my grandson to a fancy arcade where we really had fun lol.
Beautiful day in NC sunny and just a little cool as I ran errands prepping for Christmas, it’s almost here!
