1st thing I noticed going from 1st gen to 3rd gen.
    Under severe road conditions.
1st gen, you drive the truck.
3rd gen, the truck drives you.

Oh there will be some mods all right
First of all, not sure what years/trim levels/options this works for (mine is 2020 non jbl.) This post I'm linking describes what needs to be done. I had an issue with my thumb drive not being recognized by the headunit. Notice how it says a blank 2.0 USB drive. I figured USB 3.0 is backwards compatible but apparently not in this specific instance. Bought a real cheap USB 2.0 drive, quick formatted it as fat32 with default settings and it worked great. Otherwise between the post I linked and the instructions on the actual Toyota page it's pretty straightforward. You or anyone else feel free to ask any questions if having issues.

Pretty damn big lol. I feel like it'd be good for smashing deer as well as plowing.

    So. Many. Stickers.
It's how we update stuff. Got a whole rack of USB drives here that get pertinent ECU updates loaded on and then we get to install it all.

Head unit software updates are pretty straightforward though.

    This right here. Excellent resource

You didn't hear this from me because I agree with what others have said, but one of the YouTube channels I follow they will pull the ABS fuse to disable it for performance off road driving.
Might work in a 2005. Newer vehicles will just go into limp mode if there is an ABS fault.

If the Toyota isn't working out for anyone here there is this option Should I be concerned the listing is in Brookfield but all the photos/video is Ft Lauderdale?

Edit: My apologies if I made anyone throw up a little.

    Noted.

When I run out of room in the toolbox, I always liked the hanging racks and pvc holders for power tools.

    Possibly.
Though, if Pat had 4 he could put you all to work instead of standing around with drinks in your hands.

Funny timing for me to see this article. https://www.npr.org/2023/12/20/1220731384/toyota-recall-defect-air-bags I just started having issues with that a few days ago. I can hear a little clicking sound and I couldn't figure out what it was. Then my dad noticed the airbag on light was turning on and off repeatedly. He bounced around a little and then it stayed solid. Then last night this for fun I had my passenger lift all their weight off of the seat using their arm on the armrest and the door and the light stayed on. Hmmmmmm
