Two Certified shops , both say full frame replacement. Seems crazy to me. Are there aftermarket options?

After market frame options? Looks to me the frame did it's job and took the brunt of the force instead of transferring it to the occupants. Unfortunately you will need a new frame looks like. May be able to have it straightened but that metal is now fatigued and will never be as strong as before. Don't know if it was a moving vehicle accident, but if the other person is at fault let their insurance buy you a new frame.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Are you afraid of a full frame replacement?
Been there with my '06. Was a bit disconcerting to see the frame & drivetrain in one spot, the rear bed in another and the cab in still another spot.
Once the work was complete and I got my truck back, I had ZERO issues for the next 6 years.
While seemingly very invasive, a good quality shop should be able to handle it.
If it's being covered by someone else's insurance, why worry?

Damn! What happened? Surprising they didn't make a bendy piece that could be replaced easier....

I mean, OP could bring it to a fab shop and bob/box the frame if you really wanted too. Or have a shop straighten the frame then maybe box it or weld some gussets on. I don't really know what OP is looking for besides just getting a new frame.

Your insurance might even total it if they cant get hold of a frame replacement. Coupled with car rental for extended periods, it may just be totaled.

I was just surprised that the whole frame needs to be replaced instead of just the rear section. Seems like a perfect situation to have a nice heavy aftermarket bumper installed.
Frame is an 8 week delivery if they stay on schedule. Visions of the whole truck being torn down and rebuilt does not give me the warm and fuzzies. I was hit by an "insured driver"
so I have that going for me. Thanks (CT Yankee) for the positive note on the frame replacement. I will just wait it out and hope everything goes well. Thanks everyone

can't quite tell from the pics, but there are two crumple brackets that connect the bumper to the frame. Replace those and go on. Or just bend the bumper back up and move on with and live with it. i chose the the latter when my bumper was hit

I'm sure it drives just as it did before a little metal got bent on the ass end..
That love tap didn't affect drivability.

I had a full replacement on my 2010 due to rot. 10 weeks out, in part because my frame didn't exist anymore and had to be built and shipped cross country. No problems whatsoever at all since getting it back.

Let that person's insurance take care of it..might perhaps get an opinion through a local dealer too since in theory they have people more used to doing the frame swap.

These are my thoughts. Take the money and the truck to a good frame shop and get it fixed and line your pocket!

Rear impact on the hitch creates a lot of leverage against the frame.

Wow, I have never seen steel fat bent like that. It doesn't look like accident to me, no sedan would have been able to do that, and no truck is that low on ground.. I am assuming something went wrong while towing or?

Your option would be to find a welder shop, have them cut whole rear frame off and weld it with new one, but even then it would not be perfect. Frame is like one piece, and welds are weaknesses. I would just get either new frame or a truck.
