Haven't heard of a 2nd gen coming without factory A/C but I have seen where a few people had 1st gens that had no factory A/C.

    What year is your truck?

It would probably be quite costly to put in unless you had a donor truck in a matching year range to scavenge parts from.

given the current method of Defogging is to run the air over the AC to dry it before heating it has been in use from 05 in these trucks this seems odd

    and welcome

Well for some reason this trucks comes without it. The dealer says is because it comes from upper states where heat is not so much an issue. A little background is that I’m trying to purchase this truck but that has me thinking twice since I live in Texas.

Really nice truck mint condition, 5speed, with only 25,500 miles on it!
I’m trying to see the cost to add a/c after I purchase the truck because what a great deal it is.

Unless the price on that truck is a steal I'd pass. I wouldn't want one with no AC in Texas and the cost to add it would be pretty high.

I'm guessing that truck was part of a special order for a fleet of commercial trucks for northern states. If someone is buying enough units I'm sure Toyota would make some changes. I haven't seen any pickup's made since the 80's for consumers that didn't have AC.

I understand it’s low miles but 15 grand for a base of the base models that somehow came optioned without AC, and then driving it around in Texas. Hard pass.

if your not sourcing ac components from a salvage yard and diy’ing the whole thing, it’s going to be cost prohibitive to add it on.

If it also came from up north I’d be leery of frame rust. The engine bay has rusted hardware so who knows how the frame is. Some mint looking trucks can still have rotted out frames.

    OK, color me supersized
all new AC component installed is probably pushing $10k, full dash removal to get the evaporator installed

Wow. Really without ac. I didn't realize the were built.

Looks like their ask price is higher than the original srp.

I’ve seen it in person. The tailgate has a 6” dent and that is it.
    Thanks everyone for responding

It's a 5 lug. As much as I love mine, there's no way I'd pay that for one with no AC.

I can see why you are attracted though.

No AC button, just an OE looking blank.

Agree with all the folks who say pass on it. If for some reason you decided you didn't like it, like when it's 105 outside, reselling it would be a challenge.
