I bought those replacements, they went out in less than a day, then I bought a whole new AC control panel from a member and the right light ended up going out in a week. I gave up on it.

yes, I've almost made a Instagram reel/ tik tok joke, about that. because its not the only Tacoma I've been in where knocking to say wake up has been a thing. heck my other side closer to the driver i know is broken learned that after buying it like it been smacked a few times.

Finally got around to doing a steering wheel wrap on my '13. The original wheel cover was in decent shape, but man does this genuine leather wrap feel nice! $40 and about 4 hours of work, but mainly because I'm a little ocd o_O

I read on TW that is a total B to do that job…. One guy just quit after a couple failed attempts.

Yours seemed to have come out nicely.

It was no easy task, at least to do it well. It helped that I have years of DIY experience sewing, wrapping car parts and bike frames, and am generally ocd about things being just right before moving on. Watched a ton of videos too. Spent a lot of time applying doubled sided tape and getting it positioned perfectly before I started sewing. I also went back and tightened each section before knotting it off. Happy with the results though.

    Looks great.

Ive had that kit for 3 years. Started it and the stitching quickly started going sidways and stopped, have not tried again. I will once I go get some more thread and practice on something else first.

Using the double-sided tape and stretching the wrap seams as close as possible before I started stitching made a huge difference.

FWIW, I did mine with the steering wheel still installed (just removed the trim and airbag). I found it to be pretty easy with it still in the truck because it's obviously held in place with the steering column. Had to rotate it a few times and maneuver my head around to see some of the weird angles on the back, but it wasn't hard.

I'd definitely do it installed if I did it again. I ended up reinstalling it for the last two stitch sections since my wife was getting tired of holding the wheel for me lol

Installed my teyes android head unit.

Did not know they have issues connecting to Bluetooth devices.... half the reason I did this was to control and monitor devices from the dash.

Apparently the company does this to make you buy their accessories. Time to root this bastsrd if I can't get any help from them.

Everything else works fine, wireless android auto, onx and Gaia. But solar charger, battery monitor and obdlink won't connect.
