OEM Front Rotor Life

    Have you considered the possibility that rust buildup between the rotor and the face of the hub might be contributing to the "warped feeling" rotors? It's unlikely because you did not get that feeling immediately after installation of the new rotors, but it might be worth looking into.

    I have thought about this and intend to check it when I remove the rotors next time. Ordered new OEM parts that will be here in a week or so, can report back.

    I have about 115,000mi on my '13. Original rotors still in perfect condition, no wear lip at all. I changed original pads at about 40 k but they were still fine, didn't need it. Changed again at about 100k. I always use OEM pads from the dealer. No brake dust al all. The rear shoes still had 2/3 material left when I checked them this past summer. I had bought replacements and they are sitting on the shelf. I would avoid any aftermarket auto store rotors if possible, have the original rotors turned, if you can find a place that still does it. There is something about the material they used. Seems to last forever.

    back to bone stock.
    there is no hard set timeline. really depends on how often your brake.
