When I am in drive and stopped at a light or something, I get a rattling/clicking sound in the cab. I cannot hear it outside of the truck and I know it's not anything loose in the cab.

It does not seem to happen until the truck has warmed up and does not happen in park.

Anyone had this issue or any though on this?

I had to replace the transmission back in March of 2021, really don't want to have to do that again.

Side note: I'm not very happy with the 2016, replaced the drive train and transmission (at separate times) and I'm around 160k miles. I typically do not like to buy the the first year of a new gen, but I broke my last truck an needed a new one. I really liked the look and features of the 3rd gen and only paid $27.5k for this one in January of 2017 so it was a hell of a deal.

Guess I'm paying for that deal now...

It looks like I cannot upload any video or audio extension to upload the file on this site.

Any recommendations on an external site/host that I can put the vid on and link to it here?

Or am I doing it wrong?

The sound is captured in the vid, you might have to turn up the sound. The clicking sound starts when I come to a complete stop in drive. It also happens in reverse but not in park.

And it kinda sounds like it's coming from in front of the passenger seat, but it "follows" the activity of the transmission.

Have you checked the rear under seat storage areas?

No but I did change a flat recently. Didn't spent too much time putting the jack back in so I will check it. Thanks!

Sounds more like a rrrrrrrrr-rumble to me if that’s the sound?

If it follows the motion of the transmission I myself would get under the truck and look at everything in that area, particularly rubber mounts, loose parts and proximity of parts to each other to make sure contact with another part isn’t happening.

It was a bolt on an AC line bracket.
