Battery terminal too small for lug, solution?

I know nothing when it comes to the electronics/wiring side of things and am lost.

this is a hookup for my alpha Rex headlights they’re the right year and all that and nobody seems to have this problem online so my question is do I need an adapter? Can I just smash it on? Or can I tighten it on with just the two tips touching like in the picture? Thanks in advance

also I’ve tried putting it on from top and pushing the stud through the center hole but it can’t get passed the threads.

 

Attach it to the lug tightening bolt instead. It’s smaller diameter.

Looks like it’s pretty close to fitting. I’d probably just try and open it up a little more with some needle nose pliers or something. If it breaks, oh well, just have to crimp a new one on. You can probably find somewhere locally that’ll have something that will fit.

it just needs to be in continuity with the battery lug.

this smaller lug: you might be able to just loosen the nut and slip your current terminal on if it fits in the slot. If not then remove the nut, put your terminal on, retighten nut so it’s nice and snug on the battery terminal. If you want to attach it to that top stud down the road you’d need to cut off the terminal in your alpharex and crimp one with a larger ring on it.

or people who are just gonna waste their time and mine by shitting on anything non oem can just not comment on posts about mods? Some people on here act like Israel will spontaneously combust if you use a non oem oil filter so I’ve gotten sick of hearing it.

 

Honestly bro, if connecting a spade terminal to your battery is challenging enough that you need to make a thread asking for advice, I strongly suggest you practice being a bit more graceful. It's one thing to need help, it's a whole different game entirely if you're a jerk about it

 

It's not that they are non-OEM headlights it’s that they’re built shitty, don’t last and have worse light output than the OEM headlights you’re replacing. They’re cheap crap and it’s been proven time and time again.

 

You’re just wrong and that’s ok. Their leds and 10x brighter than oem. I’ve already used them and there’s no disputing that. And every review I’ve seen on them is positive even long term reviews from normal people not sponsored.

 

I’m sure you knew every thing about batteries and wanted to jump right into fucking with your cars electronics before you knew how to work around one. Now I do too so we’re equal. Fuck off
