No way, way too much work and too much expense. I'd rather get a fancy bicycle.

    Hah, neat.
The humidity where I live fogs the glass often making it a nuisance and safety issue without AC, although I've had vehicles without AC in the past. I can only imagine what Texas heat would be like without AC.
Having to remove the dash is just so much work. I've done it on a previous Toyota truck and I'll just pay someone next time.

The only place I lived that made sense was Hawaii a good while ago when the new cars sold had neither an A/C or heating system. To get either would be a special order.

My Tacoma came from C3 auto and they are solid guys to work with but that particular Tacoma won't be good for Texas.

Here is when I got it from C3.

15k for a rwd gardener truck that has no AC to cool or dehumidify defrost air

lot cheaper and faster to ride a shopping cart

you know what has a better drivetrain, costs less, has the same room, A/C, and more power?
    A German wagon

There are so many wrecked Tacomas in junkyards. Buying one close to the example that is at C3 but with A/C would be the easiest and cheapest way to install an AC system into it. Still a lot of work though.

The last pickup truck I saw without air conditioning was a 2003 or so GMC Sierra work truck. I wanted it because it was 4WD, with a rare drivetrain with the 4.3 V6 and 5 speed manual. My 2002's Silverado AC never worked, but it's not my daily driver.

Since I had the compressor replaced last year on my '07 Tacoma that AC is refrigerator-like cold.

Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. (winter) OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
According to the 2005 Specifications guide I'm looking at: AC was available or as an option as per below:

Standard on: 4x2 AC, and X-Runner, PreRunner AC, and DC, and 4x4 AC. All others Optional (4x4 RC) or available only via package (4x2 RC, PreRunner RC).

    Hope this helps!
