    2009 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport
    Toytec/billStein 3” lift. Matte grey 17” trd pro wheels. 5” rubber antenna. Led interior kit. Acanii led projector headlight and matching taillights. AFE exhaust. Trd off road chrome bumper.
    Anyone use these headlights?
    I currently have
    DRL LED Light Tube Black Projector Headlights, but the clear coat is chipping away. 7318B243-1047-4691-9070-58D17CF766AF.png

    I have DEPO that looks the same. DEPO is a reputable company.

    I had those same ones and they did the same thing. For some reason the manufacturer clear coated the lenses. They started flaking real bad after about 6 months. But I live in a very hot climate so I figured it was just the sun baking them to death.

    Would be awesome if there’s a way to protect them for cheap

    OptiLens exists but advertises as only lasting like 6mo. Maybe no way around periodic application maintenance

    have used 303 aerospace protectant but that too is likely temporary.

    not sure if there’s UV resistant clear films that can also handle the heat

    another way is sand and spray UV resistant clear

    either way they should be messed with on the bench before installing
    To at least run sealant outside where lens and housing mate to prevent moisture

    Optilens is good stuff. I’ve used it and it lasted for over a year.
