i remember you telling me you werent a fan of the 6112s. you already know you gona get back into the tacoma mod groove and want some adjustable compression shocks. you talk shit on em but il still say out of the box icons have the best on road handling valving while still riding just as good if not better than my kings offroad. and no they aint leak yet

tf how did you find me on here lmao. the 6112s were great early on, towards the end of me having them they suuuucked they rode awful but thats my fault for putting 700lb springs on them and blowing them out lmao. but you are correct i would rather have adjustable shocks and id like the fox ones i had again... they rode great on and off road prob my fav set ive ever had. im just not a fan of icon ive had a lot of friends run them and they all end the same way where they just fall apart and stop being good tbh... its good yours are not leaking and hopefully they truly dont for you!

yuup its a hard thing to do if you start wheeling because its a slope you keep going down on haha thats why ive gotten into bikes now cheaper and if i break it i load it on a trailer and go home haha.

sure ill give it a look when i got some time.

yeah I totally agree. For now I’ve managed to keep mine a mild and clean build because I only do easy/medium type trails. It is for sure quite the slippery slope though lol

I get that for sure, I went up to 33” g003’s at one point and immediately regretted it because of how much I drive the truck lol

i ran 33s for a long time on my last tacoma and never really had much of a problem with them tbh. but i dont need that anymore so my 275s will do me just fine for what i do now.

    I wish I could run 275’s but I have 16” wheels

I think my mistake wasn’t going to 285’s but going from a 265 all terrain tire to a 285 mud terrain. I’m probably gonna try a 285 all terrain next. I’m glad the 275’s work well for you though. I’ve considered switching wheels many a time just so I can run 275’s.

they dont make 275s for 16s? thats odd figured that size was a bit more common.

that could be it possible as well your mud tires are prob e load so pretty heavy. my 275s are rather heavy since they are also e load... i do plan to go to a softer tire and an at after this set wears out but for now gonna run them down lol

Yep the g003’s were E rated and so are my current Grabbers. I actually prefer an E rated tire because I go alot of places that are very far away from home lol so I’d rather deal with the weight and be a bit safer from a puncture.

I found one tire that comes in a 275 for a 16” wheel but I can’t remember what it was at the moment. I do remember it didn’t fit my needs so I didn’t pay much attention to it. Yeah I feel like most people can get away with an all terrain or a hybrid. I might do the ridge grapplers next.

you can do a lot of stuff with c load tires and have no issues tbh they ride smoother and are softer offroad as long as you keep it more calm on the trails. e loads i used for hard offroady stuffs so i wouldnt get a puncture but ive also always had a spare

well dang thats annoying aint it

Found some old junk well might not be junk lol. This is my old man emu lift I had on my grey tacoma for a few years. It came on the truck when I bought it. Forgot I had it and decided to look for it to put on this truck since it’s oem front struts are umm not holding up to well anymore lol

Also umm be careful taking those lower ball joint bolts out… I was holding the impact and supporting it from the back and zipped the bolt down and pinned my hand against the impact and the floor lmao…
