I'm just using this as a placeholder for official pricing of the 4th Gen. I just screen captured the current model base pricing of all models to compare when the official pricing is revealed. These are based on my location in NJ.

    Pro and Trailhunter prices pending

I'd include AT & MT base prices. Would be interesting to compare the hybrid versions, and those are only AT.

Lol limited trim went up 10k. What a joke. Can't image how much trd pro and trailhunter are going to be.

To be fair, the Limited is now worthy of having that name and is far beyond the upbadged SR5 it was on the 3rd gen.

In arizona asked for a price sheet for the 2024 offroad and he brought out 46K on one and the other was 55k (Not a Pro) because it had the 8K package.. That's without fees and taxes

Well the sr5 is up nearly 6k, do you think that's warranted? I don't think so.

I don't know. Haven't looked closely at the SR5. They all look too expensive to me.

Better engine, trans, suspension, lighting, tech, etc.

whether it’s worth it or not is a personal decision, but it’s not *just* a price increase

I'm well aware of the changes, on paper, yes it does seem that way. (That it's better, still a relative term) Time will tell, but 6k worth? I don't think so.

Yeah that’s a totally reasonable conclusion to come to. Not everyone values things the same way.

I mean if we go back to 2nd gen to 3rd gen, I do not think that it was nearly as close of a price increase. That was a new engine/transmission/tech etc.

Unless I’m missing something, to get power seats on a Sport, you need at least the $4600 trd sport upgrade package (?)

There are a lot more standard features on all models. The fourth gen "base" have many more features than the third gen base models.

You're not missing anything. Toyota took that and powered rear slider and made them part of that $4600 package. Sucks.

Naturally. I bought a bigger TV last year, it was cheaper than my older smaller TV. My $200 phone is more capable than a 5 year old $500 phone. Such is the way of things. Widgets often get cheaper and cheaper. No idea if the turbo-4 costs more or less than a normally aspirated V6. A newer transmission that can handle higher torque? Maybe that costs more, maybe it's just progress and the cost is similar or less. That newer infotainment system, yeah, it should have more capabilities even at the same cost. I just don't know if the new Tacoma high price increases are justified. I do know that it pushes the mid size at MSRP up close to where a full size with discounts is selling, and that's an opportunity for me to consider moving up to full size. Yeah, mpg's will suffer a bit. Full size can be a burden to drive in urban areas and sometimes to park. That's about it for drawbacks.
