Changing rack and pinion and power steering pump. Need new return line rubber part only. Parts stores have only standard sizes. 3/8 is to small, 1/2 to big. What size is it supposed to be. Bottom hose is what came off

IIRC I had to order some 11/32 gates power steering hose at O’ Reilly.

Measure the ID of your hose.

    Is what I always do

The Napa main store in my city keeps all those on a wall rack in their stock area.

I just take em the hose and they just match it up and sell it to me by the ft.

And if you want to do exact replacement, Gates will have an exact replacement one that can be ordered from autozone, took em a day to get it.

The return hose being the cheaper of the two at around $90. The other high side is about $200.

7/16 is a common number between those two, but it doesn't mean that's the right size, since there are other fractional sizes out there.

Take the hose to a well stocked parts house or a hydraulic hose shop and they should fix you right up.

We have several in our area, maybe you can find something similar by searching for "Goodyear hydraulic hose repair"
