Did you have to use a heat gun or will a hair dryer work? On my last car I blacked out the tail lights with vinyl and they came out perfect... So compared to the curvature of the tail lights, the front valance looks like a piece of cake.

I used a heat gun because I had one! Be sure to use soapy water so you can move it around more. It will take longer to squeegee the water out and set it but will be worth it when it sets and doesn't wrinkle. The hardest spot when I did mine was the underside where it has 4 or 5 bulges. Good luck. Any more ?s just ask.

Has anyone else got a shity can of this stuff? The first one I had did not spray evenly it was like spiting balls of plasti dip it sucked I was pissed. did my badges with that bad can. And opened another can and did a second coat much better. But now I have to re do them because when I peeled the extra off it riped in spots. Oh well looks good from three feet lol

    Keep the tip clean.

Also, here's what happens when you drag bumper. You can also see it bubbling up by the license plate frame.

Thanks. I'm pleased with it. I've seen people paint the inside of their headlights and I might try that next, along with my overhead console deal. The temp/compass went out and I figured while I had it out might as well plastidip that and see how it comes out.

Ditto on the non-touchless car wash. Stuff held up like a champ.

Just a question, has anyone tried rhino lining their badges? I know it holds up really well to dings and would last a lot longer than the plasti dip but will it peel off the same way and is it as easily applied?

i did my grille the other day, came out great too. stuff looks super clean when you finish it. after washing my truck today, i dried it with a cotton towel and some of the fibers got stuck on the plasti dip. i used some duct tape to get them off (like you would with dog hair on clothing), but this is the only problem ive found. it seems like the stuff likes to hold dirt/sand/whatever, but its not that bad and totally worth the $

I love the look on the rims. How hard is it to do while they're mounted?

It's as hard as pointing at the rim and pushing the spray nozzle... Really, it's that easy.

I think going to one of those power washing places that you do yourself might work. I've cleaned my truck off at one of those since I plastidipped my side emblems, my grille and my side marker lights and it didn't peel it off or anything. I haven't gotten my plastidip stuff covered in mud yet so I don't know for sure though. Good luck man.
