In my area a Ranger Raptor is ~ 4K more than a Premium OR 5' bed. When the pricing comes for the Trailhunter/Pro hybrid it would be interesting to compare. If similar, I know which I would go for.

Edit: I ain't fooling anyone. I wouldn't go for the Ford anyway anyhoo.

    Edit2: ZR2 pricing just came up. 60K. That's a no brainer.

I’m guessing there’s a reason Toyota is holding out on releasing those prices. I’m betting the Pro is 64k and TH is 68k. Ya lost me at hybrid though. To each there own we’re all just trying to find a nice mid size truck we are happy with whatever it be.

Yes. You do you. Just pointing out that a Ranger Raptor is not similarly priced to a Premium OR. That is an inaccurate comparison. You have eyes on the Raptor. Go for it.

It is though, spec’d out very similar to the Raptor (tube steps/floor liners etc) it’s $55,728 and that’s without the I-force max so who knows how much that would add so yes it’s similar. A guy has to also factor in a Toyota vs Ford in the durability and reliability definitely can’t put a price on that (in favor of Toyota of course)

I am getting 53.7K for the Taco, 57.2K for the Raptor in my area. Not quite 4K (rounding up) delta, but not similar at all.

Unless you need a 6-ft bed it makes sense to cross-shop the Tacoma against a Colorado/Canyon. The Z71 package seems to get me all I need and costs considerably less than a comparably equipped Tacoma OR (with the 5K upgrade that I would choose). Not saying I would choose the Colorado in the end, but reviews have been very favorable.

It is if you just add all the options and then complain about the pricing like people are doing for the 4g sport

For $44,000 MSRP I can order a 400HP coyote V8 F-150 standard cab with 4x4, rear locker, and all the driver tech features. I'm losing sight of the value of mid size trucks now. I can get more out of a full size for the money if I don't want limo seating.

Well this is interesting. Granted it is just one comment from one dealer.

+1 on this. I’ve got a chance to drive a ‘23 5.0 F150 for a few days. It’s a nice truck to drive and be in.

I’m looking at a 2024 Trail Boss LT at $15,000 off MSRP. Granted it’s overpriced to begin with, so is the new Tacoma. $55,000 is basically a loaded TRD OR, granted it’s diesel so you’re not really saving money in fuel (unless you run off road like a cheap ass).

Craziness. I just got a quote from a dealer in Toronto for a new 23 TRD Pro for $61,325 plus the niceties. The truck is on the lot. So a new 24 four banger OR Premium is now that same price. Thank you Toyota......

^Note prices include $1.9k destination charge and $1.2k in various dealer fees.

I seem to recall new legislation that requires all fees to be included in the advertised price. The $1.2k dealer fees is an approximation:

$1200 dealer fees? Hard pass. Isn't dest charge $1495, or is this Canada dealer? Anyway, $1200 is still way too high! Last 2 Toyota I purchased in 2022, dealer fee was $299, and frankly, that is excessive too for the 15 minutes I was there.
