Leaving the house in about 15-20 minutes to go to a party at my nieces house . About a 30 minute drive . We used to have a party here but after 20 years of Christmas Eve parties I had enough . Especially when people I don’t know started showing up who does that ? We would spend most of Christmas Day cleaning the house with a hangover

 

Seems to happen a lot. I just give ‘em candy, complement the costume & send ‘em on there way.

That brought back a memory. Back when I was a kid, and dinosaurs still roamed the earth, drilling companies used open “reserve pits” to circulate their drilling fluids. So, one day I went out to feed our horses and they were gone. We had a mule that was an expert in finding ways out of the pasture. So we all hopped in the truck and went looking for them. We finally found them on an old drilling site. My horse was neck deep in the reserve pit. My dad and uncle got a rope on him and pulled him out with the truck. He was okay other than the chemicals causing him to lose his hair for awhile.
