Steering wheel knock

    I have slight play/knock in my steering wheel when going over uneven roads. When the truck is off if I try to shake the steering wheel up/down or side to side I feel a little knock . I think it is my intermediate shaft PN 45220-04020 by doing some research. I heard that this can fail prematurely. Did Toyota make a better version or I should get aftermarket. Anything else I should check?

    Not the only fix obviously, but the simplest 1st step, and you didn't mention you'd already done that.

    There are some other options in the same thread I believe.
