Trying to maneuver my Tacoma with a Uhaul hitched to it, in the scrapyard, was not fun!

Sometimes, I think I could live in a place like that.
But it makes you more dependent. It’s not like you’re going to go out there and change the brakes on your truck. And you don’t have a place for “storage”.

I prefer illegal seafood. Right from the boat, wharf and into my cooler. I think it's fresher. :D

1998 Mercury Tracer wagon; I saw this while picking up a DoorDash order at one restaurant and went to the adjacent Domino's to seek out the owner. 1997-1999ish Ford Escorts are rare enough these days, but to see the Mercury counterpart is damn near unheard of! The car has 170K miles on, but the original engine gave out recently and the owner put in a used engine that now has like 76K on it. Most of the Escorts and Tracers that I see have A/C and a tape deck, but no other options; this one has power windows and cruise control, among other things! The owner plans to do a full restoration on it, repaint it candy red, and install a killer sound system!

This is my good deed for the day, well yesterday...

I stopped at the emergency room of a hospital in Bethlehem to deliver a Starbucks order to someone at the front desk. When I got there, there was a woman in her 50s or 60 sitting outside the ER entrance in one of those walker things, and she had a Staffordshire Terrier named Princess with her; Princess was a service dog, but she let me pet her. After delivering the food, I came back out and heard this woman's story. She come to the hospital (I forget exactly how) because she had problems with her kidneys or something. She had no car and no Uber account, she couldn't get ahold of her daughter, and thus had no way of getting three miles back to her hotel that was like three miles away. Uncaring hospital staff and security guards threatened to call the cops if she didn't leave the ER, and she had been sitting outside for like three or four hours by the time I got there; I had some money in my Uber account, so I decided to get her an Uber for fifteen bucks. Uber actually has pet-friendly vehicles, so that's what I called. The problem was that I had another order to pick up at the same hospital I'd just come from, and the first driver I summoned ended up being a lazy prick. I explained the situation to the the driver via text and he was of course fine with taking the dog.

The security guards on shift by the time I showed up were friendlier than the previous shift, and not only brought Princess some water, but allowed the woman to go back in the ER while she waited for the Uber.

I drove back to the Starbucks and delivered the order to the customer, both of which were in probably less than three miles of the hospital. The first Uber driver was a moron and drove to the wrong area of the hospital even though I clearly said "ER entrance"...

Before I could remedy the situation, the first driver cancelled and left, resulting in almost eight dollars being charged to my account; I disputed this and got my money back within minutes.

I drove back up to the ER, called another Uber, and waited with the woman this time. He drove right up to the ER and I held Princess's leash while she loaded her stuff into the Uber.

I'm going to show my ignorance here but isn't a 1911 supposed to be a .45?

Originally and for a long time yes. But they're now made in other calibers. I'm not a 1911 expert, but I've seen them in 9mm and 10mm. The 9mm shoots really nice.
