    So I actually came back to this yesterday. I noticed one of the clips are missing, so while the strips are on, they are probably making a flapping noise above. Doubt I can just get new clips. Going to tape them down tomorrow and go for a ride and see if that works.

    Do you have anything inside the truck bed pockets? I put a mini extinguisher in one of the cubbies, forgot it was there and was like what the hell in that noise when it was moving as i drove

    Stopped raining today after 3 straight days of down pouring so got back out there. Heat shield was the culprit. Thanks everyone. Case closed!
