Probably going to order the new M12 Fuel Jig Saw and M12 Planer before year end too.

 

Just bought a few packout bit storage cases it’s about time to organize and throw away low quality bits

 

I bought a few of the new bit cases (some full and some empty) a while back. So easy to remove the bits with the new design compared to the older design.

Edit - I'm probably confusing these with the flat packout versions.

 

Same, a $22 case with bits and two empty $7 ones and a $39 packout to carry them in one place. It should take the pace of my planno loose bit organizers I currently use.

 

Dam I need just the case. The old versions are such a pain in the ass

Oof Done & done, I like that these are made to fit the packout organizer too.

 

i would really recommend the m18 versions of those. but at least be sure you're running 5.0 or 6.0 large batteries with those. you won't get very far with the standard 2.0/3.0 batteries with high draw items like that.

 

I considered.

I've got the current/older M12 Jig Saw that suffers from the loose base plate screw issue and it doesn't blow the dust away from the cutting area. I've gotten by. It gets intermittent use and the 3.0 battery does fine. I really like the hybrid handle design of it and the new one.

I'm primarily planing 3/4 stock or less, so that's why I decided on the M12. Definitely plan on running a 6.0 with that.

I’m a Makita guy, but the prices are just stupid, like insultingly stupid.

Both Dewalt and Milwaukee make a cordless compound slide miter saw, very handy for me not having to grab my 12” Dewalt on a roller stand, absolute tank that you need a good 4 feet front and aft to operate, it’s my stationary rig if I’m doing like a floor of millwork, but sucks if you’ve got like a window to case.

The Makita is f$!&ing $750 just to get in on a single bevel 7-1/4”, it’s beyond aggravating.

A comparable size Milwaukee (that dual bevels) is $300 less, a Dewalt single bevel is $400 less, regret 10 years after the fact is rough lol

 

Ditched my toolbox and went all packout. Super handy since I’m like the mobile mechanic for friends and family.

 

Do the drawers have built in Dividers? Foam? Or just wide open Space?
