Think the Canyon Denali on street tires widen that gap in that drag race?

not sure either. What say ye @Gasmonkey?

Powerwise the hybrid Taco would be a closer comparison, however going to pay $20K more to get it just for bragging rights.

Trail Boss seems like the most bang for the buck. That much torque seems insane for a mid-size truck though.

Then why do people keep buying their shit? GM has been that way over 50 years.

Kia and other brands exist because GM sucks.

Not yet they aren’t. You can’t get anything 400 lb-ft+ from Toyota til you go hybrid which will price Toyota out. Who’s gonna spend $55,000 for that when for 35 lb-ft less you can get a Colorado or Canyon for $10-15,000 less?

Be better if they stepped up their efficiency game, but that isn’t as sexy.

There was a time manufacturers used to brag about fuel consumption.

Canyon Denali with Trailer Control and a Moon Roof the Denali is $54,805. Tacoma Limited with $3K for iForce MAX would be $56,595. $1,790 difference and you get more HP/Tq, better MPG, and full-time 4WD. Toyota has the Limited priced right with the competition.

That’s in reference to buying just for power figures. You can get a TB in the low $40’s albeit a completely different class of truck as you mention with the options.

I like all of them! I love my current Tacoma, would I trade it for a Ranger Raptor if it was $58-59k? Probably? Would I buy a 4G Tacoma, probably. I’m just here to stir shit up with the fanboys and their blind elitism.
so many people ignore the issues of the Tacoma and point out all the other issues of other trucks. “I wouldn’t buy that Datsun pickup!” Please.

If it has breasticles or wheels it’s gonna give ya trouble!

Dunno…believe the majority of people on here don’t keep their Tacomas long enough and/or put enough miles on them to see the problems arise.

Not even sure why the reliability is such a big thing since the turnover rate seems rather high. How long is the average rate the original owner hangs on to their Tacoma, 5 years, if that?

Ya know if Toyotas are so good, why even offer a warranty at all? ;)

What exactly are all these problems with the new Colorados and Canyons that makes them such POS’s. The only thing I’ve heard about is the computer doing updates and killing the battery.

We won’t really know if the 4th gen is reliable for quite some time. I’ve seen some folks here put close to 100k miles on a vehicle in a year. That’s pretty rare.

I just hope it’s trouble free in 2024 for @TacoBuffet’s sake. Oh, who am I kidding, he’ll be buying a Pro in April.

The fact that a Colorado v Tacoma discussion is even happening on this forum is a win for GM.
