    Reinstalled the OE.

The novelty wore off. I kept hitting the ECT and the garage remote…

I really wanted to do this mod but after a year of just learning to drive without ECT I hardly ever use it. Glad I held off.

plus I drive like an old lady for gas mileage reasons.

I commend all the guys here taking pride in their trucks with all these mods.
After decades in the computer business (and hot rodding American V8s and Harleys) I learned a life lesson:

    A < truck | bike | computer > is like a ****-**. If you don't **** with it, it won't go down.
I've never figured out how to write this in a family friendly way, but it is a rule for me to live by.

This rule applies to computer systems, vehicles, guns and most anything else somebody wants to "improve" by tinkering with it.

My new Tacoma got a nice ARE cap, a Dee Zee bed mat, and a Curt Mfg front receiver.
That's about it, and it stays otherwise stock.

A product I'm not familiar with...but I did buy the handsome gear selector.

Same here. Plus, I’m on KdMax juice so I didn’t need that ECT on the fly.

Picked up a new to me, used Diamondback Bed Cover. It'll be perfect for keeps my out gear out of the weather and make for a perfect place to stand while photographing things in the wilderness.

You're going to really like it. You will also probably end up adding the 4 center (closer to the hinges) cleats.

So a 200-pounder (me) could stand on that without caving it in? If so, that's great.

The “weak” one can hold 400 pounds and the heavy duty one can hold 1600 pounds.

SE model supports 400lbs. HD model supports 1600lbs. Which I think is more than the Taco is rated for. Not sure about the new Switchback.

Switchback is also at least 400 pounds.

My mods have been functional so far. Skid plates so I can go a bit off-roads with safety. Tailgate anti-theft to save me the loss. H9 bulbs replace the H11 low-beams (cheap but useful mod ... remove the green insert easy-peasy). Extra rail on the back of the cab in the bed.

I agree that de-chrome or a special-looking wheel makes less sense than better tire or tonneau/cap.

Removed my Prinsu rack and replaced it with my Martin Offroad GFC specific rack. Decided to stay with the Prinsu windscreen over the Martin one though.

My GFC should be here in a few weeks :fingerscrossed:

I bought it. Needed a practical truck for starting a family. Have big plans for this one which is why I'm starting with an SR.

Ive gone full circle. First truck was a 1st gen Tacoma. Now I have finally made my way back and it feels good.
