That's hilarious, there's a lot of AI generated calendars for sale I've noticed.

It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together on that one

We've all found you on reddit and mud asking the same stuff before; it begs to ask...why?

You're going to get skewed results because many other factors are not in play

If I post a thread asking about engine failure, I'm only going to get responses based on engine failures someone experienced

I won't however, hear from those that have not experienced engine failure as the thread does not pertain to them

I'm also, only gathering data from those (that do reply) that are in that group

I'm not accounting for the many other users not on the platform

Then there's a big variable; the newest 1st Gen is 19 years old meaning there are a ton of trucks already on their 6th owner; nothing is being shared about the full history of said vehicle because it's impossible to gather

I just hope you're not doing this to add to the many reasons why you should be scared of your truck; I'd enjoy the time off if I were you

Go hang out with the girlfriend! Play some video games. Hit a brewery. Figure out why our resident panda's range only works on high.

I did get some interesting anecdotes though, even if it’s not scientific like you said. One guy owned his truck since new and babied it, but got a cracked head around 300k miles. I’m sure it’s still fairly rare overall though.

Does this sounds like a burnt valve to yall? I thought that didn’t really happen on the V6s.

Exhaust valves need adjusting as they get tighter if left unchecked; we covered this months ago :luvya:

If you don't keep up on maintenance on anything it will eventually break, that thing has 300k plus... why does it matter if it's a cracked head or not it owes nobody anything at that mileage. Throw a whole new head, injectors, and coils on it... can skip the whole diagnosis effort/cost and take care of much needed maint all in one.

I just wish they lasted like semi trucks - they routinely see a million miles on the same drivetrain. Then again, maybe if we drove these trucks hundreds of miles a day, they’d last the same.

There would be way less profit in it for automakers if they did that. Plus it's more of a apples to oranges scenario
