But it's an old gravel pit. 500 yards north is a reservoir and 1000 yards east is the Colorado River.

They don't listen nor do they read signs. Had to tell a guy yesterday to leash his dog...30' from a dog's on leash sign.

I had to explain my definition of storage building to a tenant a while back. According to me your shit goes in the building not around it or maybe I’m just being a A hole.

Years ago I was a field supervisor for a high end builder/ developer. Back then a 30yard dumpster was $300.00. I would come in on Monday and a dumpster would be full. Talk to my boss one day about it, he says try and figure out where it’s coming from. So my laborer and I go dumpster diving. Lo and behold it’s the people I just moved into there brand new 1/2 million dollar house. I report my findings to my boss and he says let it go, don’t want to piss off these “ high profile “ people. Going forward I never ordered a new dumpster on a Friday.

Meh. 5 days off went by too quick.
Working on year end inventory today. Gotta track the $2mil in the building and the however many mil we’ve cut this year.

Inventory is always fun :annoyed:when I worked at the guitar factory,I was in charge of the lumber . Easy Pezzy, keep track of the lumber all year and keep your hands off of my department. I was done in an hour, then spent the rest of the day working on other people’s mess.:annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

When I first started this job inventory was a freaking disaster. No one had kept track properly and I started in June. Come year end it was a two week ordeal to reconcile everything. Starting Jan 1 I took over and revamped everything. Inventory took maybe 6 hours that year and every year since. I can tell you every slab and remnant that was cut for every single project we’ve done since I took over…unless of course the guys go rouge and cut something without me knowing about it.

Good on you, probably didn’t get compensated for it but made your life easier.

No compensation other than not having to deal with the headache of that disaster ever again.
We got through inventory so quick that next year that everyone thought I had done something wrong, insisted on doing it again. Numbers came up the same. They were baffled.
