I eventually drilled topper and bed rails for 1/2” bolts. Raised topper and laid a bead of liquid nails roof sealant then bolted back down. All bed rails are sealed good and there’s no leaks or dust intrusion there. For the tailgate I used some thin foam, 1/2x1.5”, sticky backing strips for it. Still get some airflow and dust from the uppermost of tailgate above latch but overall it’s fairly airtight.

Posted here a while ago when I hade an ARE shell, sold it and got a Softopper. Very happy with the switch as it’s more modular and less weight. I never put anything on the rails of the old shell and never locked anything in the bed so having this option made more sense.

I don’t know for sure but think they are about the same, approximately 6 inches.

Has anyone found good window covers since they are fairly a large market for them now on vans? Usually make my own but no longer have a sewing machine

I cut some for my shell from a roll of reflectix, taped the edges with gaffer tape.

Are Mx windoors with vented slider, slider front window, Yakima racks. Kind of wish I went with a leer 180 for the body lines but I’m pretty happy with this and don’t have to wait 8-10 weeks. Cost me just over 4k which is insane

Beautiful looking shell. I agree the Leer 180 does look a bit better, but I need to remind myself it is more about the utility of the shell. The looks will grow on ya. Hoping to get the same shell pretty soon but only with one Vented Windoor.

Anyone selling a midnight black shell for a 3rd gen short bed let me know! Located on the gulf coast but I travel around the southeastern US for work.

Not recently but when I did my bed lights from mattgecko led I wired 2 extra strips, one down the middle of the shell, and the other on the bottom of the rear hatch window to use as like a work area light
