But his recoil spring will be exposed off the end of the frame

The 47/49 slides have extra support to protect the recoil spring like the 34 and other long slide variations

Radian had a promo code on their blems for $278 shipped. After reading I didn't feel the spring was needed.

I've been looking at those pretty hard. My big reservation is muzzle flash in dark conditions. Not that I do a lot of shooting at night but don't want to rule it out.

Awesome video with a surprising result. Appreciate it even though it probably cost me some money.

Also I had no idea that Micah had his own channel.

I don’t know if they flash but at that point:
    1. Stock might flash anyway
    2. First shot you’re already lined up on target depending on distance
    3. May depend on the range if you’re talking about precision long range rapid fire or not

he’s got some decent videos, he’s a good editor and Charlie shows up every once in a while so it’s a plus.

Stock is definitely going to flash but my concern is that now you're directing more of that flash upward into your sight picture as opposed to forward.

Negative. The recoil springs on the gen5 19 45 47 49 are the same spring. The locking block is interchangeable between them. Your thinking of the 17 which is different. However the gen5 17 uses the same locking block as the other. but the slide won't interchange with the others.

He's talking about where the RSA bears at the muzzle end of the slide and the conversation was about a G17 slide on G19 frame. Will it work? Probably. But the G17 RSA will be exposed.

I recommend getting the stock slide milled for your preferred optic. Optic Fit is better IMO. I’ve had a couple done by wager with good results.
