Since the spring sets are basically the same from 2005 - up, I would imagine the same things are going to go on. I have the carrier bearing drop spacers, haven't added them yet. I just would hate to put it all together, then have to take it all back apart again. Like most folks, I have limited time to do all of this in the garage

It took me a couple of weeks to finally get rid of my vibrations. I used a combination of 3 degree shims on the leaf packs and spacers on the carrier bearing. I ended up making my own carrier spacers out of grade 8 washers and a couple of 1/2" nuts. I figured out the drop I needed by using a Klein digital angle gauge on each end of the drive shaft to get where it needed to be.

Removing the leaf is just what the doctor ordered. With the aluminum cap/Decked/tools/recovery gear/swingt out rear bumper, it sits level with the front, and has room for more weight. Negative (1). I wasted a bunch of time taking the leaves apart, which ended up being a major pain in the ass. (2) I would say that it's not as loose as I'd like for trails, it's a bit stiff, but not overly so.

If I had to do it again? I would order up 700lb springs, and use air ride to balance out the loads. All in all though, I'm happy with the job, DRT hangers, etc. I can't imagine what the full 1000lb all pro's would have felt like

Thread revival: can we confirm which leafs to pull to get a softer more flexible spring? I wanna make sure to do it once.

Dont do it, go offroad a few times then re-evaluate. miles working the packs will net a better ride.
I did this years back when I was crawling. It doesn't make a smoother ride, and the pack flattens out faster.

ive had 2 sets of them and I am having trouble believing that they are stiff, other issues possible. Unless they changed the design of the leaf pack and are using a "pinch" type keeper?

My tray is a lot lighter than my last setup steel swing out bumper shell decked drawers and it was nice but now I have significant less weight also 5125 Billie’s perhaps it’s the shock that need to be swapped with something different? I am making drop down side and tailgates about 50lbs each (x3) I don’t carry anything in the bed around town for daily driving and the rebound is horrendous

if you aren't carrying weight on a regular basis that pack is overkill.

Yes I’m figuring that out I thought the tray I built would be heavier but it turned out to be lighter than stock lol and trying to work with the pack I have vs purchasing new ones

yikes the pinch type, I hate those, they always make the suspension stiffer. Also limit movement, or articulation.

This is an old video 2013, I was carrying around 500LBS in the bed.
