Post pics once they are mounted.
OEM TRD Caps fit these I believe.

Will do. From what I’ve read on here, they do fit. I want the black and gold heritage caps but I think those might not fit. I’ll be putting these on the stock firestones for now since I’m only at 300 on the odo but will do a beefier 265/65 AT or 265/70 AT when they need replacing.

I'm looking forward to the pics too. Here's the OEM part number for the Bronze caps. They should fit because they will interchange with the TRD caps.

    PT280 89210-2F (red center cap)
    PT280-35221-5F (brz center cap)

I'm curious what the appeal is to the 8" wide wheels if someone isnt going wider than a 265?

How does the distance from the face of wheel to fender of the APG 17x8 with +5 offset compare to the OEM 17x7 with +4 offset? Wouldn't the 8" wide with the +5 stick out about an extra 5" compared to the 17x7+4 wheel?

I ended up purchasing a set of these OEM wheels from ToyotaPartsDeal.com for $855.55 delivered. They came in today in perfect condition. They are a little more matte than expected but I intend to use Dr Beasley matte seal to help make them easier to clean and care for. The surface is very smooth. Here's a few pics. I'll be putting these on my incoming TRD Off Road MGM and plan to go with 265/70r17 Toyo AT3's. I'll bevel the rear axle to provide proper fitment.

I treated these with Dr Beasley's this evening and there's zero change in appearance but they do feel like things won't stick to them. I'm encouraged but was hoping to add a little more sheen(which would give me more confidence). Will see I suppose. I love the wheel design but and am hoping for fairly ease of cleaning. The wheels definitely have more shine in the photos than in real life. I prefer the small amount of shine that the photos show and wish I could replicate it in real life.

I like these wheels...I'm considering doing the 265/70R17 wheels on my Sport.

    Heck, I'm considering 275/70R17s too!

The price you paid for 4EA is reasonable.

The only other work I would have done is a TRD Lift at the dealership...which is about $2K+ or thereabouts.

I couldn't really find a better price on the wheels. ToyotaPartDeal didn't charge me tax and shipping was reasonable($45 total). I intend to do Bilstein 5100's on 3rd (1.1") or 4th(1.5") notch if I rub on the OEM mudgaurds along with a 1" block in the rear. I'll install these myself. I have already purchased an OEM Pro grill.

Same experience I had with the chemical guys matte cleaner/sealant. No change in appearance at all. I guess it makes sense. Most people get matte because it’s matte. Why would you want to make it shiny. But I get it- just a slight sheen would be nice.

Agreed. We may be in the minority. I even talked to my powder coat guy about re-doing them with satin black. He said we may be able to clear powder over the cuttent coating(assuming it's a compatible powder coat). He said there is a risk doing this without know what the OEM coating is. Risk would be blasting them and starting over..... more money. There so many coatings out there, I plan to mount them as is and give Dr Beasley a try.

Powder coat guy sent me this pic of his satin black and I think it looks super nice.

Has anyone near Atlanta machined their wheels to solve the issue? Just got a set & want to get it done right.

Anybody know if spacers solves the fitment issues on the rear hubs? I have a set of these on my wife’s 4Runner and want to upgrade her wheels and would love to use them on the taco

I want to get these wheels for my 2nd gen Tacoma because the stock wheels paint is peeling and they are $150 each with the Black Friday discount. 3rd gen Tacomas have fitment issues but does 2nd gen too?

Pull your rear wheel off and measure the depth of the protruding axle hub. If the hub is sticking out 3/8" or more then these OEM wheels will probably give you issues without beveling the axle hub. Here's a picture of how far I beveled my '23 Taco in order to get the OEM '21 Pro 4Rnr wheels to fit.

Thanks for that information. Did you use a die grinder to bevel it?

I used a 4.5" angle grinder and used short pieces of 1/2" PEX to protect the threads. If your good with a die grinder that should work well too and might be a little easier to manage around the threads.

Here's some threads with more info:

Can anyone clarify which TRD style wheels had the fitment issue?
Would any modifications be needed for the AGP or FSW models?
    Thanks

PTR56-89210-F2(matte black) and PTR56-89210-F5(bronze) are the 2021 TRD 4Runner wheels and the ones that don't quite fit the rear Taco hubs without modification.

APG or FSW wheels shouldn't have these issues.
