Well, that definitely does suck. I though the benefit of the one-piece was the waterproof zippers.

Supposedly the zippers are waterproof but there are also a lot of posts online about them leaking.

That’s crazy. What does the company say about their premium suit leaking?

    You sir are a madm

Nice. I actually just bled my brakes yesterday and cycled the abs pump (figured I had a new bottle of dot4 for the clutch may as well).

The way you did it is the by the book proper but it will also cycle the abs pump if Killswitch is set to kill, front and rear brakes held then turn key on (a bit more dancing on all limbs though haha). No need to be in gear, kickstand down or hold start.

I was surprised to see a few suuuuuper tiny air bubbles come out the front of my bike during bleeding. The brakes were never mushy though.

So just holding the front and rear brakes on before turning the key on will do it as well, without a jumper? Or you still need a jumper, but the other stuff I did wasn't needed?

BTW I just got the Aliexpress fender extension you suggested, need to pull the fender off to install soon!

To be honest, if I'm not being lazy I end up wearing a rain suit over the Aerostich because even if it didn't leak, wearing soaking wet gear day after day sucks. So, I haven't bothered to contact them about it yet.

Spent far too long mounting a heavy AF harbor freight retractable air reel and moving my air compressor across the garage. Weirdly stoked to not have to uncoil and coil up my air hoses anymore and 50' should get to the end of the far side of my driveway easily. Hopefully this gets me to check my tire pressures more often and not only when they start to feel off :anonymous:

Go watch the Fortnine Gore-Tex video. Without that context you'll be confused.

    I have this little guy:
    upload_2023-12-28_17-4-10.png

Stupid quiet. I bought it when I was living in an apartment and wrenching out of a storage unit because at 2.8amps I thought could run it off the outlet in the back of the Tacoma I had. Well, at least initially, when it inflated from 0 psi it'd do fine, but trying to turn back on when it was at 80 or 90 to get back up would go over the 400w surging and trip. Now that I have it in a slightly more permanent location I'm tempted to buy a 5 or so gallon tank to add in line and get a bit more run time out of it. Works great for tires and stuff, but vacuum powered brake bleeders or air guns and the like it'll blow through that gallon tank real quick.

This is the reel I picked up today with a 25% off coupon: upload_2023-12-28_17-8-50.png

Nice! I have the tiny, noisy hot dog compressor that takes forever to fill up tires. I've wanted a large stand up compressor and tank for a while but am nervous I will end up splurging on air tools as well.

I installed the Aliexpress fender extension that @nd4spdbh recommended. I took the fender off to clean it from the bottom and used a ton of tape.

It's just useful information about what Gore-Tex used to be and what it is now. Perfectly fine if you don't want the info, but it makes your interjection into the conversation about it a bit unnecessary.

Ok. My apologies for the unnecessary interjection.

Arguing with people who just tell me to go watch garbage on YouTube is tiresome.

i dont need to watch a video to tell me my motorcycle jacket doesnt leak

You are missing the point of the discussion. It had nothing to do with a jacket leaking. It was specifically how Gore-Tex has changed. That video provides the contextual basis for the conversation that was being had.

Holy VHB, thats not going anywhere.

Unless I someday get a plasma table :)drool:) I don't particularly want a giant compressor. This little guy does pretty well for my needs, tbh. Battery tools have come SO far in the last ten years, power-wise, that I just don't know if I'd want/need pneumatic tools. Maybe for a scaler or something? Or if I ever get a paint setup? What tools are you thinking you'd use it for?

I wanted an air ratchet and impact but you’re right, the electric battery stuff is so good and probably way more convenient.

Id also like to try painting but I don’t think I have the patience for that.
