Took me all year to find this Nissan... now I've found a second if anyone is looking for one. Find me something cool to trade for it.

Opened a small bin tonight. Found a bunch of Johnny Lightning Bug Bombs. Not all the colors but one that I didn’t have. Not the original toppers but still cool

This was supposed to come to the US mid-2023 and best I can tell it simply didn’t. I had to get this one from down under.

I didn’t buy this when it first came out since I wasn’t super interested in it. However since ideas change and my Vette is going for sale in the spring, I’ve set my sights on getting one so I wanted to grab the 1/18. I overpaid but they’re basically never for sale anymore.

Those Australian cars are neat as heck. Most people don't realize Pontiacs 2004-2005 GTO and I also believe the Pontiac G8 were Australian in their roots. I believe down under they were called Holdens.
Canadians were doing the same thing with their cars thru the late 1950s into the 1990s at least. I recall seeing a Pontiac Tempest that actually was a Chevy Corsica while visiting Toronto. Mercury up there has their version of the F100 with their M Series trucks years ago and all off the other manufacturers had their Canadian versions of USA cars. Id like to see companies like M2 start releasing some of those versions.

It’s crazy the amount of products the car companies put out back in the days, same car, but different names and styling points.Even Toyota tried with Scion… They’ve really streamlined their companies. Not sure, but it sounds like GM might be pulling the plug on Buick, they just bought out 50 dealers across the country.

Might need to dip into the 401k (although I didn’t pay that much less for the 1/18 from AU).

Pontiac had the Acadian nameplate in Canada in the 1960s and the Passport brand in the 80s and Asüna brand in the 90s.

The Mercury Capri in the early 90s was an Australian import.

I still don’t understand the Toyota dealership structure in Japan to this day.

I just read about 50% of Buick dealerships will be closing. Mostly rural areas. GM is demanding dealerships invest huge amounts of money for upgrades and the switch to electric cars. I am not convinced electric cars are the replacement vehicle for gas powered cars. Being 64 I recently invested in a new Mazda CX and I hope I will never have to buy another car. My 13 Sienna just rolled 80K and the Tacoma has 31K. Ill just have to worry about the price of gas. The Sienna has no issues but figured buy the Mazda now to avoid future price increases.

Just spent 3 days dusting and rearranging my room. Except for a couple prints from the Hot Rod Pencil Ian Jones most of the artwork and photography is mine. I am a track photographer and write for drag racing publications. In the first picture you can see my first drawing of a car when I was 5. There is also a 24' enclosed display case in the garage for my overflow. This used to be out of control. Cant wait to see William63s room when he gets it done. Everybody should post theirs.Gasser Room 2023 003.jpg Gasser Room 2023 038.jpg Gasser Room 2023 039.jpg Gasser Room 2023 041.jpg Gasser Room 2023 034.jpg Gasser Room 2023 034.jpg

Room looks great! Wish I could make mine just hot wheels but it has to be a hot wheels / spare bedroom for now. I have 3 display cases I’ve been hanging onto for years now and it’s looking like I might only have room for 1.

They finished my windows this week including the siding on the outside. Trim is up and just have to fill the nail holes and paint. That’s going to have to wait a week or two. Wife wanted me to put up the shades and curtains for some company that will be staying for the weekend.
