This is how you change leaf spring bushings correct?

Being the leaf spring king #leafspringsareforpoorpeople is getting expensive with a leaf failure less than 12 months from the last one.

After SASing my 88 4runner with leaf springs, I definitely wish I had just linked the front. Barely more expensive, but much better performance

It's definitely more 2-3x more expensive compared to leaf

It's basically just the price of coilovers compared to Leafs and shocks... Can make links and mounts myself pretty easily

75% of folks on leaf run Bilstein 5125 series, which is dirt cheap.

All the main 2 inch tubes in place!! Literally 4 straight days of cutting and grinding to get to this point.

I’ll correct myself and say that it was about 16 months.

I was trying to remember who on here was selling them. And you took too long to comment so I just ordered new ones from dirt king.

Welded the spring back together for the time being just to get by. Can’t even tell after a fresh coat of paint.

Way more if you’re doing it proper…. I priced out linking mine and the whole ordeal was going to be in the realm of 25k…. Way more to it than shock choice…

Including caging the truck? Or literally buying shocks, links, and building a bed cage/frame plates?
Cause that seems a bit up there
I think tacosos did his back in the day for like 6k using all Ruffstuff specialties parts

Fuel cell, sway bar, axle housing, bypasses, coilovers, likely a driveshaft. And the thousand little nickel and dime parts. If you’re building to go fast. The above is the only way. In my mind.

He’s talking about a 3 link rock donkey setup for his old 4Runner which would have cost the same as leaf springs when doing the SAS.
