    Thanks, Goat.

Why are there two numbers shown? xx.x/yy.y?

ETA: I found the turning radius spec. of my 2009: 20.4'

Hilarious I was just at Harbor Freight with my son looking at a cheap work bench a day ago. Ended with up paying more for a better one at Lowe’s and happy for it. Your wisdom holds true.

I think with Gen4, a very large contingent of gen2 & gen3 owners already have that “premium” experience, and as recently as 2023, we paid a whole lot less than what Toyota is charging for 2024. The new ones are undoubtedly better, however it’s difficult to reconcile the cost difference versus incremental measurable improvements (mpg, space, towing, capability). Add in interest rates, markups, declining trade values, competition, and the imploding full size market, and it gives even a shameless fan like myself reason to…….pause.

I hate looking at BringaTrailer or carsandbids and seeing the 1st gen Tacomas bring $15,000-35,000. Who would've thunk!

Although there is a Syclone that just popped up today that is so sweet.

Years ago I drove a "company" car, a 2012 4x4 Tahoe. At the time I had a 2012 Tacoma. The Tahoe interior seemed more dated and a lot of the interior trim was faded, cracked, or appeared worn out. It also needed a new trans at 115K. I'm sure it was nice when it was new (it was about four years old when I got it).

Even now, look at a 2020 Colorado interior vs a 2020 Tacoma. The Chevies just don't age well.

Welcome! Guessing larger tires will effect turning radius.

Could live with the 3rd Gen for the next 20 years.

New Colorado is pretty good, still not sold on the 4G Tacoma, wish they went more like the new Land Cruiser. Maybe I just like round vents better? :)
And why does the LC get a drivers side grab handle and the Tacoma doesn’t?

Really makes me think about getting a new paint job on my 1996 with 137k miles on it, but then my luck if I went to sell it nobody would want a 1st gen anymore.

I think you’d be safe. Hell there’s one on C&B with 300k miles at $4,200 already.

They are the hot hunting rig to have here. Wouldn’t paint it though.

The Toyota service manager here who wants mine is apparently a big hunter. Guess it is good enough shape for him to want it.

"But the brand’s full-sized pickup truck, the Tundra, remains among the less reliable vehicles in the survey." LOL. These are not scientific surveys anyway.

The new Tundras were having a number of issues, so maybe it was enough to hurt the score.

Probably due to size. It’s considerably smaller than 2nd+ gens to fit down sxs trails and you can drive it on the street
