pretty sure but idk been a couple years since I wrangled a winch. Maybe the new ones are lighter

 

I have the same commute. Have I snuck home for naps during my lunch? Yes. Have I enjoyed shitting in my own place on company time? Also yes.

That's about right my 12k winch with synthetic rops was 82#. Bumper was 92# Not terribly heavy

Yeah I feel that, I put my bumper on with the cherry picker or with a friend who can easily deadlift it.

 

Get a hidden winch mount

 

Jokes aside, does the extra weight add to wear and tear of IFS components like LBJS and CVs?

 

I guess I could install a front hitch, or mount a winch on the rear hitch.

 

Irrelevant on the CVs

On the LBJs, I'd just get in the habit of replacing them as needed IE preventative maintenance

It's a quick job replacing LBJs anyway

 

Of course it does, so do stiffer springs. Is it an amount that we can quantify? Not easily

 

I probably should check mine. They’re OEM, but they’ve got about 15k on them.

 

I just cringe driving this thing over washboard roads with these springs lol

Washboards suck, your truck isn't that heavy though it's probably fine.
