Yeah, I messaged him. So he charges a broker fee of $650 to save me $1k. Then I would need to have it delivered or get a plane ticket and drive it 12 hours back home. Not sure that is worth the $350 savings. But it seems like lots of people use him.

With Jim I texted him a couple of times and then paid his fee. When the truck showed up the dealership called me and sent me paperwork. I e signed, they arranged shipping, I had a 5 minute call with the shipper and my truck was at my house 3 days later.

I spent maybe 20 minutes on the whole deal. Compare that to the 3 trips I took to my local dealer to get my 23 tacoma and the 4 hours I sat at the dealership the day I signed.

At this point it’s more about time than savings. I gladly would have bought through him again had I not been trading something in.

People still spend 4 hours in a dealer? I thought those days were long gone.

So did I. Apparently I confused the finance guy as he hadn’t seen anyone do a 1 pay lease in 8 years…

Submitted all the documents. Says it takes 1-2 days to review then they send the contrast to esign. This should be interesting.

Bizzare the 4 runners are discounted by 3500-5000 here (minus the pros) but slightly used pros are way less than msrp now also

Where is here? Apparently the Gulf States Toyota (GST) region got greedy.

I'm in Sacramento, had to go all the way to Fresno to get what I wanted.
I dealt with the internet/fleet manager and asked for his best cash price, and got it.
The entire buying process was fast and completely painless.
I despise dealing with the sales vultures that hang around the dealership lot.

We drove the 175 miles each way, I presented a cashier's check and drove it home, with my wife following in her RAV4.
It came with a full tank of gas, and the MPG indicated 26.2 on the trip home, at freeway speeds.

As to less than stellar sales, I am not at all surprised.
The 2024 is the first year of Gen 4, all new engines, new chassis, new bodies, even larger than the 2023.

I have less than zero interest in buying a Version 1.0 new engine and potential production line and design problems.
I have even further less than zero interest in turbos and EV batteries.

Same. Found a TRD Pro in Terra for $2,000 off MSRP. They required me trading my LR and offered $35,500. I said no, I’d sell it myself. She responded with only deal is if I trade. So it’s not really a discount if they’re stealing the trade by $2,000.

In case anyone cares, I already got the contract to sign. That was fast.

Edit: In case you thought I was getting a 24 Tacoma, I am not. I ended up getting a Lexus GX460. Actually, I ended up getting two GX 460's lol.

I am selling it to them (Vroom). Says the transporter will contact me.

Their cash offer was considerably better than the trade-in value from the dealer I bought the GX460 from, even when you factored in the tax savings. So, I just bought the GX without a trade and now sold the 4Runner to Vroom.

Not true, people are buying up hybrids and EV's like crazy right now.

Just got a NX350h and dealer wouldn't budge a dollar under MSRP but the gas variants they were willing to go 8% below. Their inventory had three or four hybrid base models and four times as many gas versions.
