Just installed some 285/75 wild peaks on the Tacoma.

Noticed a pull to the right anytime it's in 4wd that wasn't there right before the tires.

I'm in snow country so drive in 4wd often.

I think I'll try swapping the front tires left/ right and see if there is any change.
    Anyone else experienced this?

It could be a weirs tire but it could also be related to alignment or both. Did you get it aligned?

No alignment, just a slightly bigger falcon.

If you go to a bigger tire and want it to last I’d recommend at least getting the alignment checked.

Maybe an alignment, but did you get a "road force" tire balance? I did that with my Duratracs and then with my Wildpeaks, both times I upsized.

the size of the tire has nothing to do with alignment. the alignment is the same with no wheel even on the truck as it is with a 35” tire

it's also extremely odd that this happens after a tire change. other than tire pressure, tire changes will have absolutely no influence on the alignment of a vehicle.

it's entirely possible the tire change made the OP more sensitive to his truck, and his alignments been out of whack for a long time, but it makes zero sense that changing rubber would alter suspension components.

my old ranger was extremely sensitive to tire pressure alterations. a 3-5 psi variation side to side, or in the front tires altered it's handling dramatically

Hmm, this is what a quick Google search shows. May not be a huge difference in the alignment but when you buy new tires it’s a good time to check the alignment. Especially if you have a pulling issue.

i would like to see the documentation of this. most alignment rigs work by attaching to the metal wheel rim, not the rubber. so rubber condition/size/flex should have zero effect on alignment.

It’s a truck and large off road tires won’t be perfect for ride and balance might not always feel right. Going off road will tweak it even more. Even brief hunting trips throw things off. Shouldn’t pull right or left. Check pressure and alignment and call it close enough.

Could be a radial pull from the tires. Even if the alignment was in spec, if the steel belts inside the tires aren’t even they can cause a pull.

    Embarrassing how simple this was....
It was low on air leaving the tire shop.
I think it must have been leaking around the bead and stopped after driving some.
    It was 15 psi...

Yeah, you need to double check the tire shop guys. I put all new tires on my truck a couple months ago. Drove it home and checked the PSI the next morning. They were anywhere from 28 to 32 PSI.

Another example of double checking the work that a shop does. Everything from tire pressures and wheel torque when tire or brake work done to oil level after oil change and anything else shop said they "checked". People in shops don't care about your vehicle like you do and are often not trained well or checked on. They just do jobs as quickly as they can and cut corners. I know first hand as I was in trucking and tire business.
