I sent my reply about an hour ago and i believe it checks all the boxes. Acknowledging the positive experience, being honest/direct , stating exactly what I want, and providing confirmation that I am a serious buyer with other competitive offers.

Thank you for meeting with me yesterday. I appreciate you being very upfront with me and prompt with having the truck ready, providing an uninhibited test drive, and having a complete cost breakdown prepared for me when i returned. I am considering two other trucks that are nearly identical (year, mileage, trim package, etc). There is about a $3,000 price delta between them and your listing. Between your quoted trade-in equity and your listed price, could you do a $2,500 reduction? If we can make this work, i would be willing to call and put a down payment on it today. To be transparent, i would rather purchase from you if possible, given how my experience was yesterday.

given the time on the lot, end of month, and end of year will be incentive enough to come to a purchase agreement.

I originally had Camburg UCAs on my truck as well, and now I am running JBAs high caster UCAs, and they are much better built, and actually raised caster to an acceptable number! Plus the poly bushings at long bolt side can actually be greased without loosening the long bolt!

I looked for a long time and settled on the Dirt King BJ uppers, coming from SPCs which have been sucky to deal with. The SPCs wore out fast, needed proprietary bushings that are friggin ridiculous to try to replace even with industrial equipment, and end up being a huge pain in the ass to do core trade-ins every 30k miles. Yeah, they're warrantied or whatever, but it's absolutely not worth it. The mega-adjustability is not something I need or see myself needing even if my truck becomes a pure trail toy.

The DKs are fully rebuildable with standard (not DK proprietary) parts. Slight caster bump built into the geometry, and supposedly they've set the geometry (angle between BJ knuckle and arm tube, presentation angle of BJ knuckle) to account for the forces borne by the part to increase overall strength. Greasable everything with well placed zerks. The price is nice, too, compared to a lot of other UCAs that go beyond stock geometry (additional caster, stronger than OEM, etc).

Only problem: They're backordered 4-6 weeks nationally, and they also ding you $50-ish if you want the fancy bling caps for the tops of the BJ knuckle.

The JBA ones seems to have really prominent issues with the boots cracking immediately.
I would consider SPC as well. There ball joint is sealed and their customer service seems great. I was wheeling with an Xterra group in vermont and one guys SPC UCA broke! it was rotted away from 10years of new england salt. He called SPC and they replaced it for free. Luckily i carry about 8 ratchet strap and two 10k ones. I was able to strap it up and spot him out of the trail with front diff unlocked and a few winch pulls.

I ran them on my 1st gen at 2.8" of lift and it eliminated the rubbing with negative offset and 33.3" tall tires. The adjustability dialed the steering as well. No more bump steer and steering was vastly improved on the interstate with some custom alignment specs.
These had the updated bushings so i cannot speak to the reliability of them.

I forgot about that, the ball joint boots started to dry rot/tear after only a couple months of being on the truck, but when I emailed about the issue, they responded very quickly and sent out replacement boots (that have not cracked/torn since install around 2021/early 2022) which we received in 2-3 days.

The only reason I looked at the boots so quickly was from a thread here on TW. Other people seemed to have issues contacting JBA, but they were very quick to respond in my case!

I bought the HD version, I have no need for the extra strength, but the price was not much more than the standard set, so why not?:notsure:

    800 kWh updates.

Heat pump installed in 2021, but national grid said the house had similar usage pre-heat pump

    Here's their usage.

    upload_2023-12-30_8-30-5.png

    This is their heat pump.

    upload_2023-12-30_8-31-36.png

    Town water, not a well.

    Electric water heater.

Gas is for stove/oven and for heat when the heat pump isn't cutting it - some sort of hybrid setup.

    Electric laundry machines.

Electric water heater will account for 350-400 kwh/month right off the bat. Just look at an energy guide label for them.

Anyone want a rain check for the 9500 lb steel rope winch for $200 at harbor freight? I can mail it to you, I ended up getting the 12k badlands winch with the 25% off weekend deal going. About two weeks left on it before it expires

Okay. So, if they have a gas furnace, it is a "dual fuel" set up.
There are ways to make that system work better for them, and I can help.
If they can get a pic of that, I'll go over it with ya.
Very familiar with getting these dialed in.

That catch that gets missed... is the heat pump won't like people that try to keep their houses are 80.

There IS a way to turn it off, and run on gas only. Especially in the colder months. I usualy set them to lock out below 40ish(35f if it isn't too wet).

    Not sure about that...

But. That is actually a nice system, and wasn't cheap.

I pulled the manual for what I THINK is that controller, and it will do everything I said.

Pretty straight forward, just a glorified tstat.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I hit them with asking for $2500 off and they countered with $1250. Everything i wanted except for the color matched rear bumper but that is an easy change up.
I picked it up today. Bye Nissan and back in a Tacoma.

Congrats! One thing I did learn from selling cars was the definition of a good deal. A good deal is when a customer believes they received a good deal.

Good morning homies! Careful out there, covid is going rampant. My mother in law and a sister in law have it. My wife and kids got it and I thought I was going to sneak by without getting it lol. Been up since 3am lol. Basically just a really bad sinus infection. So much for a great week off from work....
