I like it; I'm being sent some aftermarket black tails as a promo so this helps me see how it looks on a LR truck. I did a vinyl smoke tint on my tails a while back and love the look but don't love that I've cut the light output. Also not sure how long the vinyl will last (putting the vinyl on the tails was pretty tough due to the shape and some bits of the edges don't completely stick down).

Since I'll be pulling the tails, I'm seriously considering getting the VLED conversion kit to do at the same time. I just can't figure out the bit about the resistors: the kit comes with 2 but then there are comments about getting more? Lots of discussions about the hyperflash on the forums and it seems for my OR I won't need the resistors, or at least won't need a second set.

 

I have a 22 OR with LED headlights and added the VLED taillight kit with no resistors. The only hyperflash I get is in reverse with a blinker on.

Looks awesome! I noticed that you have the chrome bumper caps like @MrTravelDog in the post above yours (also a 23 OR). Didn’t realize that they still come with the chrome bumper caps.

But configurations aside, your truck is cleaner than I’ll probably ever be able to get mine.

 

If you don't get the tech package (and I was not able to) you still get chrome bumper caps. I Plasti-dip'd mine immediately. Chrome/no chrome is a personal preference, but IMO Lunar Rock just cries out for black trim.

 

I didn’t get the tech package but mine were color coded. Too many variables in the configurations.

Yes, what others above said, mine didn't have the tech package so I guess it came with chrome bumper caps? I'm not a chrome fan, but they are so much more durable and scuff resistant than the painted ones. I know because I used to have a Sport.

Agreed! Easy mod and makes a huge difference in appearance. When I removed mine from my old 17 AC SR5 I didn’t notice any difference in gas mileage.
