This is why Toyota moved to Plano, Texas, so they wouldn't be submerged by 2035.

Ya, my truck was built there at the Nummi plant. They did have a campus though in Torrance California.

Yep, this is a thing. Removes questions about lubricants or other things helping or hurting the fastener turning. Thread pitch and degrees of rotation can be used to calculate preload on a fastener. I've also tightened a nut on a threaded rod where we had a hydraulic tensioner that pulled on the threaded rod and then we spun the nut down by hand and released the hydraulic tensioner this prevented any twisting load from remaining in the rod.

Haven't seen any Highlanders or Grand Highlanders come in with that particular problem but you never know. Also the rear main on that engine the Highlander is going to be different than the one on the taco due to the transverse layout versus rear wheel drive and all that.

But the woman screaming about her 2011 Ford fiesta which she apparently paid 60,000 for... That was awesome

^I think the freeze plugs were leaking in the video, not the rear main.

For what it's worth, a look on the Club Lexus NX subforum and Toyota Nation Highlander subforum don't show any mechanical problems with the T24A so far. The Highlander had a hesitation issue addressed by a software update through T-SB-0087-23.

^No excuse to think a similar-looking gator with big gaping jaw is safe.

They lay like that with their mouths open to air them out and get sun in there, kills bacteria and algae. They will even let small birds in and pick out shit in their teeth.

Agreed though, people have ZERO knowledge of how fast a gator actually is. Lightning fast is how fast they are. Those people wouldn't have stood a chance if it made a move for one of them.
