Not watching the video because TFL doesn’t give me micropayments for my time.

On a side note, I always yearn to be as excited about anything as some people are about most anything:

The roof is 4 inches taller (74.6" vs. 70.6") to accommodate the higher seat and to give more headroom with the moonroof. 3rd gen cab shape is carried over from 2nd gen, which was designed without a moonroof in mind.

I thought the same thing. But after seeing this video, I guess they didn’t want to show a 25k Tacoma walking away from a 55k Tacoma

Drag racing is like masturbation — fun to do, but no one likes to watch.

Mpg geeks would! They did distance towing test to see how long before the juice ran out, ev failed failed miserably.

are those videos just click bait? :p Sure EVs have great power, recharge time is terrible, range under load is horrible, prices they can fuck themselves. Gassers aren’t much better price wise anymore. Greaaaaaat, means I have to work even harder at a job a hate to pay for the fucking things, just to get back and forth to a job I hate. I am self employed and my boss is a dick… :p

I own an 8 second bracket/SG car and race constantly.

can’t watch as a spectator. It’s just not a great spectator sport aside from pro-stock and upward

I thought the post was about drag racing and 0-60 times, not fuel efficiency and towing capability.

The price of a lightning is the same as a 4th gen Tacoma and no, the F150 lightning beating the TRX in a drag race and winning a tug of war against a Ram 2500 diesel is not click bait, it's reality.

It was a bit of a joke, but the geek in me wonders which would run out of juice first of you did back to back drag racing. Already know the answer to that though.

They are all too expensive, especially the new Tacoma. All YouTube videos are click bait, someone is making money off them and it isn’t you or me. And I was making fun of you, bitching about the TFL video was click bait then turning around and posting another video. Must of went over yer head. Lol!

Your attempt at making fun of me didn't land because you must have me confused with someone else. I never "bitched about a TFL video being click bait".

It's a bit too early to be hitting the bottle don't you think?

Well, the reality is the trx can be fairly easily modded to double it's stock horsepower rating. The lightning cannot.Tug of wars are silly, and prove nothing at all, especially when on dirt. What would be the size and weight of an electric motor, and the battery pack to power it, that would be the equivalent of 10,000 hp I wonder. Ev's can make sense for commuting in heavily populated metro centers, but only if there is a major infrastructure revamp in those areas, but that is never going to happen the way it needs to happen. Anyways, in the immortal words of Jungle Jim, "drag racing is far out"

Literally no one has ever bought an F150 lightning for $45k, dealers were charging more because only the high end models were being sold. $60k+ was typical.
Even now the price for a 2024 F150 base model is around $52k if you can find one for that price.
