The flat floor in the F150 is awesome!...I like the current 3rd gen rear seat configuration for cargo, (flips down flat with a hard surface). I think the 4th Gen double cab cargo solutions are a step backward. Cargo configurations for a midsize truck are more important than some others IMO since there is limited space anyway. I think the 3rd gen was the best of the bunch in that department. The 4th gen is just like everyone else now.

It is! One of the main reasons I have been looking at the F-150s is because of how they do the in cab storage, because I use that area multiple times a day in my AC.

The 4th Gen rear seat configuration is odd, bottoms are held up with a janky strap (it’s a $40-60K truck c’mon!) seat back’s don’t fold all the way flat, plastic backing is now carpet. Only looking at the double cabs, because they killed the access cab, which the price starts to sky rocket, they think well if I am going to pay that much, might as well get a 1/2 ton. The Tundra is far from perfect either. Not getting very good reviews. Then think these things aren’t cheap! Why even bother?

“experts” give it a 8.0 out of 10, while owners give it a 3.2 out if 5, Scroll down to see customer reviews.

I doubled checked, and can confirm that it’s January 2024, so eagerly awaiting the first real-owner testimonial of purchasing a $54,000.00 TRD Off Road. Heck I at least expected to see a shiny new $50k SR5 taking up two parking spaces at my local grocery store by now.

Since “Later this year” and “December” have expired, should we assume that Ford is officially handling the Tacoma rollout?

EPA certification is the hold up, trucks are built but not in transit to dealers yet. Kind of annoying, 8 years in the making and taking this long, can't even hit delivery targets.

yeah sports bar is weird, I don’t get them, the price is fucking comical! Flexing at Starbucks taint cheap!

was using hockey gear as a gear bag size comparison, didn’t think you rode dirt bikes.

As I’ve narrowed it down to yours being the only opinion I’ll base future purchase decisions on, hopefully they load your truck on the carrier first. The 300k or so that Toyota sells after that, not so concerned about.

Thanks man. I promise to start a thread when I pick it up for anyone to ask questions in since I volunteered myself to be on of the idiot first adopters.

Look at it this way: the 4WD DCLB is the most utility you can get in a Tacoma. Parking lots and tight turns notwithstanding, I love mine, especially after I capped it.

Those carpet-backed seats are so trashy. No idea what Toyota was thinking with the new seat solution. Probably another cost cutting measure.

Not the only factor when deciding in buying a truck. Don’t really care about resale. If I did would get into the flipping classic vehicles game. which I have with old air cooled VWs, only vehicles I actually made money on. Last one I sold went to the Netherlands. Doubled my money on that one, major pain in the ass though. Why I don’t do it.

They are, cost cutting while raising prices in the process. Dunno, other than more power and a better ride, not seeing anything that makes me want to run out and buy a 4th Gen. It has made me do the opposite.

Still no 2024 option on the Canadian Toyota build and price website. So much for the first Taco Tuesday of 2024.
