It's awesome. Unless I need an amazon delivery, or septic, or EMS. :D

    Here's the drive out:

    https://youtu.be/OKc4kryHIcI

Imagine that in winter with garland, lights, etc...or in the fall with zombies and bleeding walls and stuff...I find it charming-enough. And when I build the drive-around, it'll be a non-issue.

    Maybe snow this weekend!upload_2024-1-2_12-28-33.png

Nobody I know is bad-enough of a driver to hit that large building. Could someone it it? I mean...it'd take a willful act, or spite, or criminal incompetence.

It's all part of living in the country around here. No public utilities and the townships don't have the infrastructure to put a sewer plant in.

That heavy snow is forecasted for my area as well; I'm about 1 hr 45 from Darrin's new place right along the MD border. Got the snowblower filled up, test ran, and put in the garage.

Why is that? Well water here and it's some of the best water I've ever tasted, straighr from the tap. And not having to worry about city sewer, pay the fees, and all that, combined with boil water warnings, really makes me like my well and septic.

Just does not like the idea and extra hassle I guess.

ohhhh, I might need to get mine ready too… I ran it dry before storage but think or hope, I treated the gas in the gas can

It does take some getting used to. Cleaning up after cooking has been far the hardest to adjust. That and telling guest to not be embarrassed and put wipes in the trash can beside the toilet.

I got mine fired up about a month ago. Had 3 year old oil in it that was hardly run, but changed it in case this season turns into a dumpster fire. Just put it back in the shed, so I moved it into the garage. It had year old gas in it and fired right up. My "secret" is to run ethanol free gas and add a fuel shutoff so I can run the bowl dry. I filled the tank up today with fresh 90 octane ethanol free.

To be fair, everyone should be telling their guests that regardless if they have septic or sewer. 'Flushable' wipes that go into the sewer don't break down there either, and end up causing significant strain on infrastructure, which will end up increasing your rates. The only things that should go into the sewer OR septic should be toilet paper and the fluids/solids that you produce naturally.

I'm glad for you that it's moving forward. The VA inspections are THE biggest headache/PIA in the world.

If there's any downed hardwoods, I know a guy that burns that stuff in a woodstove...:D

I'm on the edge of the 'heavy' area. I put gas in the firewood truck, it will get driven through the 14" of salt that will be laid down before the 1st flake hits the ground! It's already mssing most of the rocker panels, it doesn't matter!

I have looked for ethanol free gas around me, the nearest is a place close to Littlestown that sells CAM2 racing fuel and pure gas from the pumps. I cant get there in time before they close in the evening.
