As I recently figured out you can add your collection in the BoozApp to keep track of what you've got. I decided to empty the bar out and dust everything off while adding what I had to the app. A few of them I've had for a while, but most of these bottles were added in the last year after I decided I needed to broaden my tasting horizons. I'm quite happy with how well my collection has grown. There is still a dozen or so bottles in the bar, mostly non-bourbon stuff. You can also add a wish list of things you want in the app to make it easier to look up when you're scanning the stores inventory.

I usually do February because it's the shortest month but I'm trying to re kick start my enduro training after a very carby Christmas so I'm in too. But I'm going today through Feb 1st because I had 3 beers yesterday. :anonymous:

Really? I've seen it here in CO get released out to the public. But somehow everyone knows when it will randomly be put out and it's gone in like 5 minutes

Interesting. The only Stagg I've got from total wine out here were as a Grand Reserve member. I guess I just miss the shelfies.

Ours did too, last year (2022).
This year (2023) it's been released out on shelves. And I guess the same for 2024.

Like I've said, it's terrible. There's clearly some sort of leak with the people in charge. TW employees say it's always the same few guys too which has me a bit irritated. Same thing goes for whenever they do any allocated "random" drops like EHT etc.

Not a bad pick up today, never tried (or even seen) the sweet wheat and honestly not a big 1792 fan…but for $39 I guess I’ll give it a shot.

Comes and goes here, but it's rare enough that most places put a one bottle limit on purchases.

I don’t know you or your tastes but it’s a bottle I really like. Very easy drinker normally if I open a bottle it’s goes pretty quickly.

Maybe I’ve told this tale before but the scarcity of 1792 Sweet Wheat has a fascinating backstory.

It all began with Pappy Van Winkle winning some major awards in the late 90’s / early 00’s. So Pappy blew up and became scarce.

Once Pappy became unavailable bourbon hounds turned to Weller, which was wheated bourbon of a similar lineage. So Weller blew up and became scarce.

Now bourbon hounds, desperate to get their hands on something, anything wheaty and Buffalo Tracy, realized that Barton, the distiller of 1792, was owned by the same parent company as Buffalo Trace, so perhaps their wheated bourbons had similar properties.

Which in turn led to a run on 1792 Sweet Wheat.
