Inner loin and back straps day... Not sure why the left back strap had and extra steak in it, but oh well lol (I guess the right actually shorted me a steak)

I notice a bunch of you boys opt for thick slabs of deer meat , Ive got in a habit of 3/8 ish sliced backstrap light flour dusted Blackstone fry- it’s really good but you got me wanting to do something different, I thought I was done but might go for one more slicker

 

Backstrap medallions
Hot Cast iron pan with butter. Sear on one side, then the other.
Right before they're done, (which isn't very long), pour a shot of REAL maple syrup in the pan and let it fry off.

Ive done similar but cut into finger steaks breaded , deep fried. Yes im sure people lose their minds but it is good

 

@dewayne ok so I noticed that the bottom cylinder lock wasn't always coming up upon cocking the hammer. I took it apart and everything looked fine except the pin that holds the crane in place was a little off (it's help in place by a spring that goes into one of the frame screws) I flipped it around backwards and everything seems to have tightened up. I took the gun apart several months back and must have turned it around when I reassembled it. But that would definitely account for the very off center strike lol.

The grind pile Mississippi roast was stellar, leftover cornbread from last night and sweet potatoes from Sunday, we're a great pairing... Would have preferred mashed potatoes but then I would have had to made mashed potatoes...

 

sounds like you found your issue.hope that takes care or your problem. makes sense if the cylinder lock wasnt locking the cylinder in time.good job

 

didnt think the firing pin was bent and the bushing its in would take a ton of shooting to wallow out.assumed you had a transfer bar set up which you do.update us if it works out

 

Is there a deer slayer on this thread that can possibly point me towards tailgate letters in Camo?
I actually stumbled across TW originally when searching for them right after I got the truck.
The guy who was asking was looking for something exactly like me some type of original camo like bottom land or shadow grass. I don’t think any that I’ve seen will contrast enough on the black but if anyone has the camo letters on black please fire em out here. Thanks & sorry if this question should be on some other area of site (I’m new) & honestly like the Deer whacking taco owners better
