i was lazy and did not install the side vent... but i did scoop a ton of wet mud from inside there. i may install later, but I didn't install because I couldn't find my 90deg attachment, and i was going to use rivnuts for a cleaner look but i do like the cover i may honestly remove the cover. and really clean the metal up and lay down a bead of silicone or gasket maker and really keep the intake closed up from debris.

I really like the kit. Wasn’t too difficult to put on aside from being on the ground to install it. I think the rear is a tad tall compared to the front but overall I like it a lot.

i put a stick on rain gutter on my rear slider to channel rainwater away from the glass.
not sure if i can cleanly/straight-angled apply it above the shell flip-down slider, so we'll see how well the truck slider part works first.

Not yet but I did go back in and rewire said bulb and it seemed to fix the issue. Still waiting to hear back from TacomaBeast if this is a normal issue or not.

IMG_1395.jpg IMG_1396.jpg Week following Christmas: finally got my truck into a local shop for an application of NHOU. Was glad to hear the tech was impressed with how clean the frame, crossmember and fender supports are in especially for a 2009. A week later and she’s still dripping a bit but I think the Back to Black coating looks great. Reattached the spare today.

Agreed, love the look and protection. Just like fluid film, you can buy touchup rattle cans of black NHOU. Got a pair as a Christmas ask. Keeps you solid in between seasonal sprays.

I’ve seen nhou in gallon and five gallon buckets but not the rattle cans. Was considering picking up an air gun from harbor freight and doing it myself next year. I’ll have to check out the nhou site for those cans though - thanks!

edit: found them on the nhou website - two cans for $31.98.
    Ordered.

I picked up the same lights (mine are amber tho) and harness on Black Friday as well. Still haven’t found time to put them on, easy install? I also need to buy a different switch that matches my stock switches.

I have them as well, the amber sports as ditch lights. This switch fits fine. As far as the install, I don't have that harness, I created my own off my aux power block, but same thing basically.

This might sound dumb, but recently the truck started doing a multiple beep sound inside the cab, through the speakers, with the truck powered on. It would happen a minute or so after startup, and again a little bit later, and then be silent the rest of the time seemingly coming on intermittently just while driving straight. Yesterday it went to a two beeps with a 30 second cadence (give or take), but would not shut off until I shut the truck off. There's no error lights, nothing is disabled, I reset the radio (Kenwood aftermarket, no amp(s)) entirely thinking that was the problem, it was not.

I just drove it this morning hoping to capture the phenomenon but I missed recording it both times it occurred. It's definitely one of the truck systems using the speakers to give me whatever warning it thinks it's trying to give me.

Edit to add: along with no error lights or warning lights, the seat-belt chime works fine (this is definitely not the seatbelt chime), no air bag warning lights, I had the passenger airbag disabled for awhile now so I re-enabled it briefly to see if it would help, it did not. It almost sounds like the sensor when the truck goes sideways or tilts.

If you don't mind rolling around in the dirt for a couple hours and have the space to do so I definitely recommend spraying the gallon, I couldn't get an appointment anywhere nearby so I did it this year myself with a 24 gal compressor and it wasn't bad at all, a lot better for your moneys worth than the cans.
