I had too. The order those posts appeared in just made my night. I'm still laughing.

@Drainbung I'll run it by the wife but I'm super tempted. Only problem is a 1/2 won't fit in my freezer. lol

Do any of you guys happen to know road conditions in Northeastern NV?

Ended up picking up a FCFS spike elk tag, specifically planning on Wilkins/ Montello rd loop and Crittenden reservoir areas. Will be in our 2wd camper van towing a sxs so a little more concerned with mobility than I would normally be in the taco.

I assume no snow down low, but are the roads muddy?

Anyone been north of trucke/ to sierra buttes and yuba pass area recently?

    thinking of doing this
Forest H7 (by independence) > H 12 > 54 or stay 12 until connect to 49 (highway) and im wondering if its 100% have to wait for late spring, or if with lack of snow I would be alright with that route. Might be a day I go out and see how all that area looks.

Scenery would be cool with a touch of snow but wondering if its too late for that and I'll need to wait it out.

for what it’s worth I just drove all around Dog Valley Road from Stampede to Verdi Tuesday and it was a touch of snow & mud in spots that don’t get sun but otherwise totally fine.

Sounds good thanks. I only go to northstar when I’m up there so don’t really get a clue on what actual truckee area has for snow on the ground.

will be one I head out and see where I can get to I guess

Main roads are fine, some of the North facing slopes are getting incredibly icy. Not sure with the weather today what the north will look like

slid backwards a while before putting it in a ditch to avoid hitting a tree. Not sure why Amazon even has 2wd vans in places where it snows

I see a lot more dents on Amazon vans than on UPS vans.

UPS is union, it's really hard to get a job driving, and I believe you have to start in the loading facility for a number of years to even be eligible to apply to drive. Some of their senior guys are making 6 figures.

I think UPS also requires a background in auto racing. Respect to the drivers going from North Lake back down to the DC in South Lake. They can handle those trucks like they are race cars.

It’s not mine I just found it while working, but it’s definitely been painted. Sprayed over the rubber trim on the fenders which is not aging well. Paint is cracking showing the red underneath

    just sharing an interesting truck
