It’s officially up on Falken’s site now:
    https://www.falkentire.com/wildpeak/at4w#size-list

Very excited to see the new skinny 33” but like everyone else, the weight is a bummer. I really didn’t want to increase weight while going from an MT to an AT. But it may still be the best compromise for me. Gotta think it over and crunch some numbers but I’m leaning towards just going for it.

Wow. I’m unhappy about the weight but I’ll probably still buy it. I never thought I’d see a 255/85/16 all terrain tire.

@LarryDangerfield although we do not have stock yet, we do have a rough estimate on pricing. Shoot us a DM if you would like assistance with a price.

I'm happy about it. Trying to stop myself from ordering a set now to test. My geolanders only have 15k km on them and no complaints.

Woof, the LT255/80R17 went from ~52LB to 58LB. The AT3w was already on the heavy side for an AT in that size... The AT4w is going in the wrong direction for our trucks, IMO.

Turns out the Wildpeak AT3W 255/80r17 is also 58 lbs (E-rated though). So a lighter 16” wheel + 255/85r16 AT4W tires will be lighter than the equivalent 17” wheel + 33” tire. I think that sells me on the AT4Ws

I sure don't want sl load tires on my truck lol. Look at falkens website they are c load.

Same. I’ve always run E load on my Tacoma so I don’t have to worry about sidewall punctures but I might make an exception for the 255 AT4W.

I ran SL AT3W's on my truck for a while before switching to the Geolandar G003's. They worked great and although I wasn't constantly rock crawling with them and really punishing them they saw a lot of offroading including many miles over all sorts of rocks and moderate obstacles. It's anecdotal, of course, but they worked great and weren't near as much of a weak link as people make it seem when everyone says you should only be using E rated when offroading.

My issue with sl load tires has more to do with handling characteristics then puncture resistance. They fold over while cornering alot more, and I don't like the squirmy feeling they provide. When I swapped to 255 e rated tires the handling difference in the curves on the hwy got alot better.

Found the same thing when I ditched the stock sl duratracs on my old zr2. But everyone has their own wants and needs.

Yeah, like everything in life there are compromises. I found the same thing true, that sl tires handle much worse but conversely, the ride quality is much better.

Your right for sure. But I will say the ride quality of my 255 yokos is much much better then my 285 duratracs or 35in k02s were. I was pretty blown away.

Interesting. I don't recall feeling a difference on my truck. That said, its possible I removed my sway bar around the same time I went from SL to E tires and that could be conflating my memory on the effect. I did much more enjoy the ride with the SL's though. The Geolandar's aren't terrible but I'd love a more comfy ride.
