    dk-crew; yeah bro, I've an itch to throw this into 4wd, but driving to work and not having any days off until Thurs is what's preventing me from twisting that knob.
    I did however order a new exhaust. If I'm gonna be at 2800rpm's, then I need something a bit quieter...
    How much of a difference will a tune make now??

    How long was your total wait time? Friday will be 4 weeks for me. Don’t remember waiting long the last couple times I bought from ECGS.

    I just ordered a prebuilt front diff. I think I was told 5 weeks. Bummer, but they’re super busy.

    @drewnali;
    well I ordered by phone Feb 28th. They said they were backed up 2-3wks.
    My members arrived on April 27th. I shipped my cores out April 28th. Hoping I'll have my refund by this Fri??
    It was a highly anticipated wait, but we'll worth it at the end. All was installed with no issues with the members at all. I've 128 more miles to go to.complete my 500mi break-in. This truck rides great now...
    The wait will be well worth it.. Keep studying YouTube video and stay sharp on the install.. All should go well.. Good luck; and trust me, I know what you're going through. It's a heavy season for ECGS, no doubt..

    Thanks!! Im stoked. I actually had a local shop regear it a month ago- and he messed up. So I just bit the bullet and ordered prebuilt. I’m not excited about doing the work on the ground, but I just want to get my truck back!! In the meantime I ordered a bunch of other crap to do to it. The guy that did the work is a slob- so I’m basically replacing from the diff out to the wheel with the exception of my new cv’s.

    The quotes I was gerring were ridiculous, and ECGS had nothing but good experiences. I didn't have time for a shop to do the job, much less wanted anyone to do the work but myself. Tho this was a first time for me, concrete is 100% better than gravel. I thought it would be beyond me, but Kflo on YouTube, Dirtnation, and another one have good vids. I watched what I could find over, and over, and over until it was embedded in my head. I also threw in new shafts, as mine were pretty beat down. It was all smooth tho, and the members, tho I can understand how time consuming they can be to build, have ZERO issues. I did the work in a full day. The hardest part was benching the new front drive back in because of the oblong weight. I'm an ex-powerlifter, still lifting, and indeed it was a bit heavy and awkward to re-install, but I never quit. The best feeling was driving off the driveway, hearing absolutely nothing wrong, and then returning the cores. Sorry you had to do it twice, but trust me, you can do it. Only difficulty was the reinstall, and the damn awkward placed vacuum lines. Other than that, those videos had me mentally prepared..
    What gearing ⚙️ did you go with?? I also had ECGS throw in that Limited Slip Pro by Powertrax. Lockers would've really set me back too much tho. Hope you get to do the install.. If you do, hollar, and I can talk you through it.. Just Taco-Boys doing Taco things bro..

    I am working in gravel. lol! Actually drainage rock. I’ve been laying layers or cardboard then a packing blanket. It works sorta. I regret ever letting the shop touch it. They get good reviews, but I’m not sure why. Along with destroying my front diff, he put rear bearings on wrong sides, sloppily welded gussets on steering knuckles, and in doing so- melted my front bearing seals. And did a lousy job welding on cab mounts. It’s been an absolute nightmare. I’m never trusting google reviews again. I’ll just DIY.
    The rear diff isnt leaking or having any issues currently from this nightmare, so I’m crossing my fingers there for now. I went 4.56. I am happy with the results of the gears, but depressed over the slack work I paid to have performed. I have watched all the YouTube i could about it before pulling the trigger. Im pretty confident, but totally appreciate the help if I run into any snags!! Thanks man!!
    I almost paid to have an Eaton e locker installed this time around as well- but paying for all this a second time, in such a short time has hurt a bit. I guess the only silver lining is I’ll finally have time to install all the Tacoma stuff that litters my house. :)

    Does anyone know what brand of gears ECGS installs in their diffs? I know they sell Nitro and Yukon but I can't find what they actually install in their diffs.

    Yukon or nitro were my options when I purchased a couple years ago.
    Not sure what their selection is these days. Call them, they are very responsive.

    I reached out and was told that Yukon gears were installed. I have never seen where you can select which gears you want installed on a complete diff other than gear ratio.
