I have a set of the Fox 2.0 Performance coilovers on the front of my truck, about 80k miles, and recently the squeaking/squealing noise that I was getting from the Front Left side of the truck was getting pretty loud and consistent.

I pulled out the coilover and noticed that the Rubber Bushing surrounding the metal bearing was sheared off.

I called Fox and they gave me the part numbers to "rebuild" the bottom bushing and the only place that had the parts listed online was Jegs.com. The parts also wouldn't be available until the end of September.

I was thinking of buying One new coilover for the Left/Driver side and continue using the originally purchased coilover on the Right/Passenger side with 80k miles as that would allow me to be on the road within a week. The bushing on the Right/Passenger side is still intact, but I do see cracks in the rubber bushing surrounding the bearing. If I go this route, I would assume the Right/Passenger side would sag a little more than a newly installed Coilover but I'm just not sure if that's a good idea. I do know that I don't want to drop another $900 for a pair of front coilovers.

I wouldn't think that continuing to driving with the bad bushing on the Left/Driver side would be a good idea, but if I spray some Lubricant around the bushing the squeaking/squealing does go away until it dries up.

Just looking for some advice from the forum members on what I should do to get back on the road ASAP.

I crossed post on the first gen forum as well.

You can find a Shock rebuilder by you or ship the shock to someone and have them rebuild it.

It'll save you A LOT of $$ to just have it rebuilt than to get a new shock.

But, it's really up to you on this

Call Fox and ask them if there are any authorized dealers by you that you can take the shock too!

You can probably find it online.

That's the plan... I ended up installing a set of NAPA Proformer Strut Assembly to at least get me on the road. I bought them during a flash sale they had this weekend and got them for $100/ea. So far, the ride height isn't much lower than the Fox 2.0's but I'm sure they'll settle a little lower as they wear. They ride pretty soft and plush to be honest and for now are squeak/squeal free. I'll just run these for awhile and just get my Fox's rebuilt in the meantime.

I also replaced the Right CV axle with a NAPA Max drive CV that was on sale for $65, and the sway bar end links also from NAPA that I got on sale for $35. The NAPA CV axle looks identical to the Stock CV axle, and the Sway Bar end links were identical to the OEM links with it being the sealed/enclosed type not the ones with Zerk/grease fittings found at places like Advanced Auto and Auto Zone. NAPA has different levels of parts available but the premium parts that I purchased looked identical, seemed just as robust and well made as the OEM parts that came off the truck.

Old thread bump. You happen to still have those part numbers?

Is the shock you have same as the "Performance Series 2.0 Coil-Over Snap Ring IFP shock"?
I have these shocks and I'm having the same squeaking issue for the bushing.
If I could buy the same part number as you, that saves me a lot of research, haha.
    Thanks.

I found my squeak not in the bushing but the wiper seal on the shock body. I dab some superlube on it every so often and it keeps quiet. what a problem to have sheesh.

They look the same. Perhaps a quick email to Accutune might help narrow down the results.

Thanks. After doing more research, it seems that a lot of people have experienced this issue with various Fox shocks... will give it a try when I get home.
Come to think of it, OP never updated the thread saying if his new bushings fixed the squeak problem or not... so who knows :notsure:
