Don’t look ahead. Seems those months usually coincide with some form of disaster that sucks money like a Hoover. Only way I know. :spending:

Just to keep it official, 1231 employees in 27 countries.

Some department on campus wants us to do a short welcome video for new and prospective students. We're shooting the video this morning (because a few weeks ago when it wasn't cold and windy wouldn't have been better...).

I've been voluntold that I'm filming it so at least I'm on the correct side of the camera.

To caveat on this, there's big business in hiring subcontractors or companies that specialize in eliminating waste, also known as continuous process improvement. To put it another way, any step or process that doesn't add value to the product (or customer) whether physical, tangible, or measurable should be eliminated thus saving cost which, in turn, adds value to the customer. To give you a taste of what I'm talking about, search for "business process improvement companies". These consulting firms are a big expense but it is typically outweighed by the huge tangible bump in income to the firm that hired them through either returning customers or increasing customer volume. I've heard horror stories about these consulting firms completely removing whole departments because they didn't add value to the company/process or customer/consumer. If you want to see a comedic approach to these types of firms, go watch Office Space and see the employees interaction with the Bobs'.

No employee wants to see their department, company, or work go overseas as that's ultimately their livelihood leaving. This kinda brings to light that whole 'learn to code' meme from a few years ago that got lots of people up in a tizzy. Without making this too hyper political, it's important to reduce government regulation that allows for the pushing of these businesses to go overseas. I believe John Stossel has a short YT video on this topic that covers the tax benefit and low cost of shipping shit all over the globe. I think the example used was manufacturing of a skateboard. The wood was farmed in the US, shipped to Canada to be converted into useable lumber, shipped to China to be turned into plywood and molded into the skateboard shape, then shipped back to Canada to be screen printed, finally back to the US to get the trucks installed prior to shipping to distributors. I think I'm missing a shipment to and from Mexico, forgive me. All those shipments are basically tax/tariff free passing that savings off to the end customer. All that material handling could be kept local, kept jobs local but regulations add costs thus pricing out the skateboard well above the boards manufactured overseas. It really sucks. If those government regulations were relaxed enough to bring back those jobs, factories, and businesses, just imagine how many jobs can be reintroduced into the market thus returning power to the employee by raising wages through competition between businesses. Wages go up not because of inflation, but because of market competition as these companies jockey to attract the most qualified for the job. I could keep going but I think I'll cut it right here.

I ordered 12 sheets of white vinyl and used four, eight of them last night making the other decals for the bush hog. It was when I went to separate them I realized I cut the 1st four sheets on the wrong side :frusty:

You could always put them in the back window if your truck. Gotta stick them on the inside.

Prolly smarter than all the peeps that advertise the guns they own by having those stickers in their back window. Let's tell everyone there may be a gun in my locked truck. Not smart.

I wadded them up and had Cole throw them away.

I agree with the other part, I don't want people knowing what may or may not be in my vehicle.

Depends on your pay week. If you are paid this Friday then your 3 payday months this year are March and August. If your pay week is next Friday then it is May and November.

About every 10 years, there will be 27 paydays if you are paid bi weekly.

About 20 years ago our city didn't realize it and had to take loan out for the last check.
