I wouldn't mind working at a Toyota or Lexus desler, but I've been hearing trucks like Rams are slow sellers nowadays since people are tsrating to see them as overpriced and underbuilt, even if they could afford it.

 

Then where's your hustle?

Unless you've always had something or someone to fall back on; if you do/did, then unfortunately that hustle needed never really comes.

 

It doesn't usually matter because the kind of people that buy Rams are also interested in the financing they have. Chrysler Capital used to be able to finance people that couldn't put a down payment on the steam from a hot dog. Imagine you're that type of person and you just found out that now you can get a new 1500 ram when previously your best option was a used Suzuki.... That's still a sale

 

Ask the crew here what dealership I specifically worked at

I worked at an FCA (now Stellantis) dealership

The worst brand of them all, and I was still making a killing

 

Maybe insurance would be better? Someone's always gonna need it..

Idk, I'm kinda tired of relying on a standard paycheck. Research jobs etc. are starting to seem kinda stale.

 

Perhaps selling volcano insurance in Michigan?

Zane mentioned something kind of funny but true, I just thought being broke would've really been the kick in the ass to get moving and get a good job

Everyone's different I guess; I was homeless for a small time in my teen years, that's what really woke things up for me and I've hustled ever since

 

I mean I guess I could always move back home if I really fell on hard times, so I'd probably never be out on street if that's what you mean. I've even thought of selling my truck since I don't drive much anymore.

 

My dad was the same for a bit when he was young, funny how the car dealership caught you both haha

There's a famous quote and I forget who to attribute it to. But you basically touched on it, you don't become homeless because you run out of money, you become homeless when you run out of relationships.

That security you've got in your back pocket is the crutch that's keeping you from really pushing hard and trying

With your contracted jobs, degree, and all, you should be well off really, and most likely not living in AR

 

being an insurance estimator/investigator has pretty low barrier to entry with a reasonable pay and is not "hustle"

 

Yea it sounds kinda interesting too.

 

There's a lot of good jobs in Dallas, but then you have to live in Dallas.

 

It's the one job that really captures the saying "it's what you make of it"

Some people want a job where the payout is truly based on the effort put forth; when you break that wall, and I mean that real paycheck wall, it's hard to not want to hit it each and every single month

Making great money can be addicting for sure, especially if it's because of your efforts

 

@Kwikvette I interviewed for this health insurance sales job, but it was 100% commission. They gave the whole six-figures song and dance, but it felt a little too MLM for me.

 

I'm sure everyone would agree a lot of places are better than AR
